A beautifully illustrated book with a wealth of information. If you are bored with the humdrum “at the intersection of art and tech” then why not go for the intersection of art and nature.
If you are looking for a general history of modern art, then Hughes will certainly engage you. A classic.

An international collection of essays on media. Can’t say much for now because this is one of those books I’ve had for eight years and haven’t found the moment to read.
Generative typography with a twist. 🕺
Not sure if we have this one in the library yet.
Another one for the data viz clan. Tufte wrote and compiled a good number of books on visualizing data and are well worth hunting down.
