nights I look forward to
at my 1st job as an intern building websites around 25y ago, we received an email from the designer (client) complaining about a 1px difference in prod.

she trained me well.
after around 40 days, X is getting unblocked in Brazil. Curious to see how user activity will play out, either returning to the platform or building new audiences on bluesky and threads, specially. the former seems most likely.

gm friends!

how does it work with images that are casted through the scheduling feature in terms of resizing and compression? how different it is when compared to the normal cast feature?

schedule casted a couple this week but ended up deleting them because images were way too compressed imo.
thought of trying 1 gyoza with some brazilian farofa i have at home. i know.

ended up eating all 15 gyozas combining the 2.

forgive me but it was fucking delicious!
one simple thing i love about X's /ux is no matter how deep you navigate into other sections, when you click home, you're back where you left off.

feature request? :)
Incredible (old but gold?) project that I only came across today and immediately saved to my 'mental health' collection on... ehm... Instagram :)

gm amigos!

scheduled this one for the 18th (2 days ago) and have only noticed that it was never casted - it's still under the 'Scheduled' tab.

"tweaks to improve the home feed to show interesting casts from people you don’t follow yet"

fair, but... I'd trust 9 out of 10x what people i chose to follow cast/recommend (content, people to follow etc) over what an algorithm tells me it's interesting. By giving the **option** to switch between the 2, it'd also increase trust > usage.

When there's no way to see the former (not even notifs on delivers all casts), the experience is compromised, specially when the algo keeps delivering 1) casts from people i dont follow (and already chose not to) and 2) that are 1d old. it's tiring.

every single app gives the option to switch the algo off (IG, X, Threads etc) and i dont understand how this hasn't happened here yet. really hope the team can re-evaluate this, letting users be more in control to what they think it's interesting to them.

and until all features are available (i.e. DC's), use/build your own client is not really a valid point. still trying to use 2 clients but it's a big point of friction.

ITAV at one of my favourite places in Berlin and muted the soundtrack to listen to ambient sounds
a pause — when seeking clarity, this is one of those places that I visit to slow down the racing thoughts and bring the mind to a more balanced state. I was there recently, looking for answers by watching the garden getting closer and closer to the end of another cycle, shutting down its doors soon for a little rest until a new beautiful and colourful journey begins in a few months time 🖤 many such cases in life.

J: Hey love, got this thing called 'Brasileira'. It's like pastel de nata, but taller.
Me: oh, sounds like something we'd do in Brasil indeed.
J: I didn't put cinnamon on it as I know you fucking hate it.
Me: aw, you're awesome! Let me try it out.
* go ahead and take a bite on a massive block of cinnamon buried into it *

🤢

cinnamon should be banned.
