was asked today if farcaster is still mostly crypto ppl or for everyone, and I didn’t know how to answer.
On one hand I got a trending coin notification today. On the other hand the most engaging users are journalists. So both 🤷🏽♂️?

There should be a colored halo around resurrected users like the new user one

Looking into FC resurrected users (active after a 90+ day inactivity period) and we are indeed seeing good numbers!
Biggest recent days:
- Feb 28 and Mar 1 (EthDenver?)
- Feb 22-24
- Mar 6
But overall, the trend is looking fairly strong - welcome back! 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟

a way to search for fonts that matches a particular ~vibe~
Dropped from 10 to 18 with the frame rewards being announced. Might have to ship a new frame 👀
ended up sticking with Cursor. Agent mode + Claude 3.7 is OP
- Windsurf was great but got used to Cursor shortcuts
- Claude Code was fine but wanted more control and wanted to learn the codebase
- Lovable's a good substitute for a figma but not really to build a full app
- Replit was a bit slow when I tried it last.

just tried vibe coding with windsurf, cursor and claude code for the same task. So far Windsurf seems the fastest/most accurate.
Have other people seen otherwise? trying to find the best tool

has anyone tried referral mechanics with frames? Cast a frame, when someone uses the frame from your link you both get x

Would be cool if there was a way to see a list of users who have onramped funds to their wallet. Seeing the purple glow on profiles on the feed kinda signals its own “proof of work”
Good take. One place I also struggle with consumer AI as a category on is GTM - new apps still end up competing in saturated app store/ web seo.

3 fights in 1 minute for the Canada vs US nhl all star game. Was not expecting this start!
NHL had the right idea with a 4 nations tournament instead of an all star game.
Would love to see the same in basketball. Team USA vs the World

prediction: ai will make it easier for developers to solve problems but creating good games will still be hard

Noticed this pattern in a few different domains: the better you can measure something, the less useful the measure becomes
Goodhart's law - Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org
"Traditional games are losing space not to mobile but to social media, which is mostly passive consumption. The paradigm is really “being entertained” and “being together”. In this timeline we watch together AI play games, bet on them and even influence the outcome through our cheering (with a proper token economy, of course)."

Has anyone tried building games like this?

prototyping with ai is such a game changer:
1. helps you communicate the vision of an idea fast
2. helps you identify key edge cases you didn't think of

I wonder if there’s a better UI for AI reasoning models aside from chat. The fact that they take time to answer + give steps affords a different experience imo
its harder and more expensive for a casual fan to watch live sports. So they're doing it less, instead choosing to follow highlights on social media, follow the players or play the video games.
Leagues that don't adopt to this new world may not have fans to watch their sports IRL. Good watch on how the internet and streaming changed sports fandom.

Coolest Operator use case I found so far - login to X, scroll for 5 min and give me the top 3 tweets you think I'd like. Gets you the useful stuff while helping you avoid the bad stuff from social media
Anyone using OpenAI's operator? I just tried it out and it seemed really impressive
Concept: Co-op Hamurabi in a frame. Each day, Farcaster users vote on how to run the town. Outcome is sent via push notification the next day

Farcaster plays X in a frame (like twitch plays Pokémon)
has there been any recent creators/platforms that do paid local news? Substack is great for global discourse but I might be willing to pay more for local (also some local news budget may get cut?)

Sharing another concept for a frame game - Crossyframe. Mint to join leaderboard with social integrations. Would you play this?
fb.com should just become am api for millennial apps that meta monetizes. The feed itself isn't that useful but there's the social graph + groups is still somewhat useful
concept for an idle multiplayer resource game. Mix between Rise of Nations and cookie clicker, onchain.
had this idea in my head for a while and needed to prototype. Would you play?

TIL I've been running an old model of claude in cursor smh
This planet money episode has recordings from Nixon pressuring the fed chair to lower interest rates for political gain. Interesting to hear how it goes down behind the scenes

Has anyone read this? trying to figure out if worth reading or if I should read a summary/listen to a podcast
bingo in a v2 frame (yes I’m playing bingo with family rn)
I read 12 books this year. My favorites were:
- Man's search for meaning by Viktor Frankl
- Death's end by Cixin Liu
- Boom: Bubbles and the End of Stagnation by Bryne & Tobias

one of the reasons i'm here is because i need your help.
if you've looked at crypto ux, they're garbage. all the great product designers are off designing hardware or ai wrappers. but hardly any of them are designing crypto ux.
if we take a look, we're going to sell billions of digital assets this year whether the ux is a piece of shit or great.
people are just going to suck this stuff up so fast no matter how it works. and it doesn't cost any more money to make great ux.
they are going to be these new assets that are going to be in everyone's social apps, financial apps, and media apps.
we have a shot [at] putting a great ux there—and if we don't, we're going to put one more piece-of-junk ux there.
