we went down to the basement…
and without planning it, we stumbled upon this pink, dreamy, 2000s aesthetic mirror-filled spot.
And you know me—
if there’s glitter, I stay.
Art was everywhere,
the current exhibit was made of fuzzy, plushy paintings,
and all I could think was:
"I wish I could stay here just a little longer."
That night we recorded and photographed everything,
capturing the magic of the moment.
Everything you see—we do from scratch,
with love, with purpose,
and with the support of all of you.

"Sabes que te quiero" on Tortoise 🐢 by @mattlee. This song comes from the love ♥ I have for @sielo. It was born from a poem I dedicated to her. After creating an instrumental, I thought about using that poem as a starting point to write ✍ a song I would dedicate to her. That's how this track came to be, dedicated to you, my love, my partner, the best in the world, you @sielo <3

My Story

I’m Sielo, an independent artist from Argentina.
Since I was a kid, music saved me.
Not as an escape, but as a way to understand the world... and to transform it.
I studied at the conservatory for five years, went to music school, composed, cried, healed, and let go.
I grew up with songs that wouldn’t let me sleep until I recorded them.
With the desire to change things but no clear path.
And one day I realized: my music is my way.
I don’t make music to fit in or follow trends.
What I do comes from the soul.
It’s spiritual, street, esoteric, Argentine, real.
And it’s for everyone who’s ever felt strange, different, or had a fire inside that they didn’t know how to use.

So far, this entire project is self-managed, and I like it that way because every drop of sweat is part of the process. Every lyric has the value of writing and telling a story. What I mean by this is that being self-managed makes it slower and more complicated, especially if I don’t have all the tools to make it happen. More than anything, in a reality like mine as a young Argentinian where I sometimes can't cover my basic living expenses, this is what holds back my creative process. The stress becomes part of me, and it also feeds me in a way, but sometimes the stress is so overwhelming that the project ends up on hold, like a broken car waiting to be fixed.
Today I woke up wanting to improve my present and then my future, and any support or idea is welcome.
