I am trying to use frame on @recaster-fc and "add your recovery phrase " keeps popping up. Is it only me experiencing this or that's how it is now @haole ?
Awesome! Scheduling casts via /recaster makes everything so much easier. No need to send it manually every day—iftar greetings keep rolling smoothly!

I'm having trouble scanning the SassyHash barcode on /recaster. I've tried using both my phone and tablet, but it still doesn't work.
I’ve done it a few times before, but it’s no longer in my "recent," so I need to scan the barcode again.
Would it be possible for /recaster to add SassyHash to the Mini Apps Center, @haole?

I've been watching the evolution of Warpcast Rewards with interest, of course.
They have more resources and talent to bring to bear on the problem(s) of gamable rewards, and are building in public. I expect they will succeed.
SassyHash Rewards will take an orthogonal approach, and not the one you might expect. (I don't think my project is thiccc enough for GG's diagrams to work.) But am excited to throw money at it, and take a unique shot on goal. SoonTM.
In the meantime, what would make https://sassyhash.artlu.xyz/leaderboard more useful for you as a competitor?

Looks like Airstack APIs are also discontinued, have to remove related features in Recaster.

- Reduced app startup time, much faster than before.
- Long-press the like or recast icon, then you can choose which account to react with the cast.
- Tap the user avatar in the top-left corner of the frames screen to easily switch accounts.
These features make Recaster the best mobile Farcaster client for managing multiple accounts. 😂

- To support Farcaster Auth in Frames V2 and future Sign in with Farcaster, the import recovery phrase feature has been implemented. The recovery phrase is encrypted and stored only on your device.
- New users without a Farcaster account can first authenticate via Apple and create an account for free. The fee is covered by leftover free invites from @newcaster.
- Warpcast labels are also supported and can be clearly seen in the user stats tab.
Recaster will be another independent Farcaster client in 2025🫡

Finally upgraded Recaster from Expo 50 to 52, and now it's powered by the new architecture of React Native.
The best part is Expo Fetch, which allows me to directly use Vercel/AI.

- Removed priority mode from the conversation screen and auto-hide casts from authors with neynar score below 0.25.(Say no to spammers.)
- Added channel member/moderator badge next to author name, making it easy to see who is part of the channel. Thanks to @pichi for this request!
- Introduced a Farcaster agent badge, so you can easily tell that account is a bot. (The bot list is based on the neynar open-farcaster-metadata repo.)

First cast into the void using recaster
Released the final updates for Recaster in 2024: a lot of bug fixes, user location and ETH address verification support.
At the start of 2024, I never thought I’d be building on Farcaster. Looking back, from Recaster to Modbot, then Newcaster, what I’ve done has exceeded my own expectations.
Most importantly, I’ve made many great friends on Farcaster and received incredible support from the community.

when selecting a channel in which to cast, please advise me if 1) channel is not public, and 2) I am not a member. This would gently guide the user when their cast would be hidden from 🚾 users.
I understand this was challenging for alt clients to implement when the new channel rules were still evolving daily/weekly. But they seem to have stabilized?

very, very minor UI request: splash screen on iOS is a red R on a white background. The white background produces a jarring flash. Can it be made into a black background when I have the phone on dark mode? ty
