I wanted to give you all a look at what we're working on and what's coming next for /stokefire. 🔥
This isn't a roadmap per-say but just want you to know that we are still working and making progress!
- Weekly Battles
People seem to like the new incentives and neighborhood competition. I'm working on adding some better ui and notifications so that you are aware of battles ending and how much score is gained from them.
This week we will have a smaller reward again 100 🏆 as we make sure everything works well. There are a couple of villages that weren't assigned a neighborhood and making sure that is fixed.

Thanks to @he for the support. I’ve already faced 10 illegal attacks from @foobarbaz , and it’s been preventing me from getting proper rest these past few days. I understand that @nbragg has been busy fixing other issues with the game, but I’m still disappointed by his tolerance of this behavior. This will be the last time I discuss this drama. Whatever

This is not right! Taking advantage of a loophole in the game is something I am ok with, but just focusing on one player is not right! Make Game Fun Again @foobarbaz even Potus is rotating between Canada, Mexico, China, Paper straws from time to time
From a technical perspective, this is a bug, it’s a one-sided plunder.
Firstly, since the game mechanics specify that only neighbors can attack each other, even in a fully on-chain game, this issue should be prevented by the smart contract.
Secondly, this is exploitative behavior. I cannot attack him, but if he successfully attacks me, he can gain over 500 wood or food, while if I successfully defend, I only get 100 or even just a few dozen wood or food. This is extremely unfair.
Players might feel upset about my long-standing position at #1, and I accept active attacks from neighbors, but it shouldn’t be in this “robber” style. During my climb to #1, I never resorted to any exploitative tactics—I simply shared my strategy actively. Yet, he continues to attack me through the contract.
If you condone this behavior, which disrupts the balance of the game, I feel somewhat disappointed. I am speaking up on behalf of my villagers. @nbragg

Not a bug. It’s just that the neighborhoods aren’t onchain yet. But I am in the process of getting them onchain. Defend yourself well till then.
Why can he still attack me? He attacks me every six hours. Is it automatic? He has attacked me six times already. I hate bug @nbragg @foobarbaz

I'm putting the neighborhoods onchain so then this won't be possible.
This isn’t fair. I can accept being actively attacked by my neighbors, but I don’t even know how to use the contract to attack you. Plus, due to our level difference, attacking you would give me far less benefit compared to my losses. I’ve already lost a huge amount of food and wood—this is really terrible.

It's a Christmas story.
@lovejoy only had 2 hrs left to stoke before she would lose her village that she's been working on for 3 months! She is #18 on the leaderboard.
She had no villagers left and had already used her raid and lost her wood.
Her only hope was for someone to try to raid her food and a 50% chance of her randomly getting some wood.
She put out a plea to her neighbors for help and @drewb came to save the day with this Christmas gift!

Heard some murmurings from my villagers that it's getting expensive to stoke the fire.
So I've lowerred the stoke and speed up costs to 7 $FIRE.
Will move it closer to ~$1 slowly over time because I know it would be harder to raise it later if needed.
Eventually I'll get around to pegging it onchain to $1.

Where you'd kill off all your villagers so that you could go back to cheaper hut costs. Stack up on a ton of huts at a discount and then try to grow again from there.
Now...
hut cost = Max(Max(10, numHuts), 0.2 * villageScore)
New updates in the app store and google play. Get those so you can stay up to date!
