I ordered a wide-format giclee printer that gets delivered tomorrow.

Finally going to start printing my art!

I'm pretty excited and thought this was a good channel to share it in.

This will probably be the first thing I print because COLORS!

"Daphne's Reprieve #1"

I have always been intrigued by the Greek Mythology story of Daphne who was minding her own business as she became the object of Apollo's burning desire. He physically pursued her and she ran from him as long as she could. Eventually her stamina failed and she called out to her river-god father to help her as she ran to his shore. As her feet touched the banks of the river she was transformed into a laurel tree, giving up her humanity, and receiving a refuge that was probably not what she was hoping for.

There's so much about this tale that is an allegory for women's plight in modern society. But before I was old enough to be aware of that, reading the myth as a child, the idea of transforming into a tree has been a fascinating thing to ponder. So I decided to explore that moment with a new series. This will be the first piece.

Now I have to decide where to mint...

This is a weird confession but I don't know where else to post this and maybe here because it's causing me some anxiety.

I'm thinking of getting a giclee printer even though I've had bad experiences with fancy printers in the past.

I really don't want to deal with one but I want to print/sell some of my art in large format and also don't want to pay so much for art prints from a good printing service and wait weeks and pay for shipping.

Still undecided whether it will actually be cheaper than a print service in the long run though.

If anyone has advice or cautionary tales for giclee printers, I'd love to hear them!

I had such a good time making "Deriniti-inspired" art and blending her style and mine and wanted to share another couple I made since I could only share one for the raffle thread.

The second is heavily inspired by her PFP, of course!
Hope you like them, @deriniti!

I have had one too many Mai Tais.
Thoughts on art NFTs and one reason I have not jumped enthusiastically into minting all my work again even though I really should get it on chain for provenance.
