In Ladakh, nomadic herders face a precarious future amid escalating India-China border tensions. Military patrols have restricted access to vital grazing lands, forcing many to adapt or abandon their traditional lifestyles. The 2020 clashes intensified these challenges, with herders now navigating buffer zones that limit their movement and trade, threatening their livelihoods and cultural heritage.

Interesting, because India and China cooperate together within BRICS, and they have to cooperate for a certain amount because of growing economic ties.
interesting article in the NYT. Forget right or wrong, or friend or foe. Every side needs justification. Historically the CIA has connections with the New York Times and has used them to influence the public. In this light I think that this article is very interesting. It has a subtle justification for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran by Israel and perhaps also for possible future attacks on Iran. the question is therefore why this information is shared and why now. The chance that this war will become somewhat broader has in my opinion become somewhat more likely because of this article.

Forget fiat or crypto money. We are going back to lentils, rice and mandarins 🫰🏻🍚

Russia and Pakistan are exploring barter trade to boost economic ties. This approach aims to facilitate exchanges without relying on traditional currency, enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

I like it, especially when you can connect domain names like TEZ with Twitter, with van be connected to your ETH wallet, with also can be connected to your Warpcast account. It basically forms a network of proofs that serveral sm-accounts and wallets are one identity.

That's why I like ENS and Tezos domainnames, and this change on Farcaster.

Israeli forces have reportedly targeted UNIFIL positions in southern Lebanon, injuring two peacekeepers. UNIFIL claims Israel deliberately fired at security cameras and a guard tower. An Israeli drone was also seen near a bunker where UN personnel sheltered. Such actions may violate international humanitarian law. Israel has not yet responded.

Israel's past behavior toward UNIFIL during conflicts has been tense. Historically, Israel has criticized UNIFIL for its perceived inaction against Hezbollah, leading to incidents where UNIFIL compounds were hit, including during the 1996 bombardment.

South Korea's defence minister claims North Korean troops are likely fighting in Ukraine, with reports of casualties from a missile strike, amid deepening ties between Russia and North Korea.

Maybe it was always there, but Token Terminal added on chain data about DEGEN:

I like his style of denial:
"I'm not Satoshi"

SN in 2014:
"I am not Dorian Nakamoto"

Okay, there is some debate about the latter as to whether his account was hacked, but still.
For example, Satoshi Nakamoto was more into Windows than Linux. The first Linux version didn't come out until Dec. 17th, 2009. https://www.bitcoin.com/satoshi-archive/emails/bitcoin-list/11/
Apparently, Peter Todd workedas a Linux developer for some months 2001, and in 2007 and 2008. https://cointelegraph.com/news/peter-todd-who-is-the-man-hbo-named-satoshi
This does not rhyme with each other and it is a non-argument to dismiss all counter arguments as Peter Todd's "game theory", what Hoback does in the CNN interview.
It is now up to us to separate the wheat from the chaff 🫡
Same s#|t, different day. Have no access to the HBO film, but this interview says it all. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/08/investing/satoshi-nakamoto-identity/index.html
And as I argued yesterday this is not the way to arrive at a suspect, this is tunnel vision. It's sad that they use such accusations to point to Todd as SN. He, and all the others before him, do not deserve that.
After the umpteenth time that someone claims to have found Satoshi Nakamoto, people still fall for it. This is searching with tunnel vision, you start looking for similarities and see that as proof, but a similarity is no proof at all. Especially not if you ignore evidence that indicates that he is not. If you select people from 6 billion people that you know, who are programmers, cypherpunk, who were active in the Bitcoin project, etc., you will have a number of people who show similarities. No more than that. In addition, it is logical that in 2009 - 2011 people with certain preferences are interested in the Bitcoin project.

One year of tragedy... Is there anyone who has gained anything from it?

One year after the devastating Hamas attack in Israel, the region remains engulfed in conflict. Hostages are dead or still held in Gaza, where over 41,000 Palestinians have been killed. Israel continues to bombard Gaza and southern Lebanon, targeting Hamas and Hezbollah. The war has expanded, with Israel striking Houthi targets in Yemen and exchanging fire with Iran. Thousands have died in Lebanon, and millions are displaced across the region.
And the spammers are back, just replying and liking tweets. 🤪
The US is now openly involved in the conflict with the 'Axis of Resistance' (Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Houthis, etc.).

U.S. airstrikes on October 4 targeted Houthi positions across Yemen, including Sanaa and Hodeidah, amid rising tensions and threats against U.S. and Israeli interests.

Not sure what's repetitive about my casts, but this the most kind thing botornot have said about me 🥰
This week, it's the third week that the market is pricing expected economic growth. Also, the monthly and quarterly are indicating that. These kinds of situations are good for assets with a high beta (like crypto), however crypto didn't perform very well this week. Imo because of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
