I've been anti-position: fixed for elements that influence layout, like sidebars. I'll use min/max-h-screen with flex/grid and relative/absolute for consistent spacing. Fixed still makes sense for popups (createPortal), top headers, and floating buttons tho

What was everyone's take on the Warren vs Deaton debate last night?

Me personally, I wish Deaton would've talked about what he would do instead of what Warren hasn't done and attacking. I had no idea Deaton was a SA survivor which caught me off guard when he said that. We'll see in November!

This week, I refined a concept from college that connects personal beliefs with goals to provide guidance and meaning, framing our actions within a purposeful journey:

Chip War
Book · 2022 · ★★★★½

The author does a substantial job of dissecting the industry from the inception of the invention and through all the political implications, as well as how it changed warfare. My favorite sections were about the cold war and race to the moon, as well as the economic implications of offshore production to the US. It's covers politics, tech, and manufacturing. This book is filled with knowledge and a smooth read overall. Highly recommend to anyone looking to be brought up to speed on how we got here and perspectives to form ideas for the future

Question: why don’t small local businesses accept crypto as a payment?

Today marks the end of the boating season for Sea ++

Pulled her out for the year despite the nice weather we’re having in prep of the next storm coming up north

Helene took a few vessels off their mooring and turtled my neighbor

Great season and looking forward to next year and taking friends out, new and old!
I can feel FC becoming more PvP with factions, which I think is a growth signal 🍿
Nostalgia to me is Heely’s, call of duty zombies, fruity pebbles, and AIM / Skype usernames and away messages
I'm working on developing a way to automatically accept anyone with their bio location set to Boston or icebreaker "Bostonian" attestation. In the meantime, comment below, and I'll add you!

I want to give a shoutout to @icebreaker for providing the ability to easily verify accounts through their open API. The team's support has been incredible. I was generously awarded $250 for integrating Icebreaker, although I should be paying them for the value they have provided to me!!!
