Last night I was introduced to Hikes, an enchanted forest of an experimental rock group. I went to their show blind, other than learning they were once big on the Austin scene a decade ago and were going through phases of reunion. Their seasoned history was evident from the crowd’s uncontainable excitement to the technically brilliant performance and interweaving onstage storytelling — the energy of returning home to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in years. It was a rare event and one of discovery, both in listening and in another piece of Austin’s musical history. I hope this was the first of many Hikes appearances I get to experience.

“Been Thinking” anchored their set list and featured my favorite moments of musicality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9rbinvsvoo
If this ain’t the best designed brush I’ve ever seen.
Biking down Burleson Rd at night feels like being at the edge of civilization.
2024 breakout Tyla has released a deluxe version of her self-titled debut, which blended South African amapiano club rhythms with pop-R&B into a infectious, pulsing collection of dancefloor-ready tracks. 'Tyla+' features 3 new songs at the top of tracklist, further showcasing Tyla's confidence to continue playing with genre.

Keeping channel banners vertically centered below the fold on mobile will preserve legibility of designs across all states.

It’s best practice to keep important content in a centered safe zone for responsiveness. Current implementation would require skewing designs to display important info in the bottom third.
I built a transit network at the CapMetro Transit Plan 2035 public meeting today. Dunno if that qualifies me for the real thing yet or not.

CapMetro has a public survey out to collect feedback and ideas to cocreate a new transit plan for Austin by 2035. Your input will literally shape our city’s future: https://www.capmetro.org/transit-plan-2035
Reposting to capture this moment onchain and continue Zora practice. ✌️

Two sleeping babies and a wild baseball raccoon.
Boosts are extremely powerful. Do not sleep on them.

I had no content prepared and shot from the hip straight to the home feed, casting what I would normally cast.

Aside from the expected uptick in likes & recasts, I got the highest quality engagement and redistribution I’ve ever had. On top of that I received an increase of >200 followers and $5 USDC reward.

What a remarkable 24 hours of Farcaster. @v this is seriously one of the best experiments you are running and I hope you’re able to continue growing it in a way that benefits as many players as possible.

Thank you for the gift.
No brands or communities are ever built on ~vibes~

They are the product of an ongoing series of very specific and very intentional decisions to communicate the type of world someone wants to live in.
Some tips and best practices for Design Contest 002:
- Include #banger in your submission cast for it to be eligible.
- Size your banner designs at 1500x500 px
- Keep important information and graphics in the center to ensure they don't get cropped or obscured by UI.
- Use this template to test your banner designs out: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1425357084530531271/warpcast-channel-banner-template

📣 Channel Owners — I've created a channel banner template in Figma to help you design and test banner graphics out before publishing them. The template features desktop and mobile screens with clear space guidelines so you can ensure nothing important gets cropped out of your graphics.

Give it a try and share what you design!

Thank you for the second boost. 🫡
I’ll use this moment to share that I will be picking back up posts to Zora to get in the practice of using the new app. Finally organized my backlog into proper collections. Lots of photos I’m proud to share. 😁

This is one of the silliest and most fun things I have ever put together.

I tried out and made good use of Illustrator's generative vector AI tool for various objects and stitched everything together.

Bout to slap this on the back of a t-shirt for a female athletic competition team.
Just discovered an absolute sleeper public work space: Bouldin Creek behind Proud Mary.
- Free public WiFi (200mb/s)
- Covered deck
- Outdoor outlets
- Restroom access
- IS OUTSIDE

Get a banger coffee/bite to-go at Proud Mary’s and chill in public. We need more spaces like this Austin!!!

Visiting new Switchyards clubs is a prerequisite for any trip back to Atlanta. I dearly wish Austin had something like this special space to spend my days.
