1. MLK Bridge Reconstruction — Northbound 15th St entrance permanently closed. Southbound upper deck MLK exit permanently closed.
2. Ladybird Bridge — Exit 232 closed until early 2026

This mural going up on the new Pleasant Valley Longhorn Dam underpass is weak, equality & inclusion theatre. Capital Delivery Services is bringing forward nothing that actually represents the neighborhood because they aren't giving the community a real voice in this process — instead, they've brought in a Houston-based artist to build a collage of vague community mantras & imagery with a tile-by-the-numbers assignment for local volunteers to build it.
Huge missed opportunity to bring in local artists to create a collective mural based on their lived-experiences in this place. Or better yet, yield the tunnel space to the neighbors entirely as a community-managed graffiti space.
