LLMs are so good at things I don’t know about
Luxury is off-feed
*Taps the sign* The LLM will tell you what you ask it.
There’s a shelf in the bathroom that grows every day,
With bottles and boxes in shimmery gray.
Some bubble and burble, some rattle and hum,
Some smell like old pennies, or peppermint gum.
There’s a jar for my knees and a balm for my back,
A patch for the places that suddenly crack.
A lotion for elbows, a syrup for toes,
A spray for the spots where the forgetfulness grows.
There’s a pill for the morning, a pill for the rain,
A pill for remembering not to complain.
A patch for the Monday, a patch for the yawn,
And a slipper for chasing the Tuesdays at dawn.
The bottles stack higher, the boxes pile wide,
Like a small, sleepy library crouched by my side.
I need a bit longer to jump or to spin,
And the bruises take ages to heal up my skin.

I packed up my backpack with compass and hat,
My notebook, my flashlight, my good walking cat.
For somewhere, they say, there’s a beast you can’t see—
The one who keeps leaving these chores here for me.
I found muddy footprints by Sink Number Two,
A trail of old dishes, a sock in my shoe.
The towels were twisted in vines on the stair,
The couch wore a hat made of yesterday’s hair.
I tiptoed through laundry, I climbed over books,
I peered in the corners and crannies and nooks.
I sniffed for the scent of a spilled apple pie,
And squinted at dust that went whistling by.
No creature, no critter, no furry-foot ghost—
Just more little messes than anyone boasts.
A jungle of breakfast still stuck to the wall,
A puddle of Tuesday asleep in the hall.

Been laughing out loud with wife and daughter listening to LLMs write custom Dr Seuss style poetry about our family and life

Exceptions for me
It’s getting increasingly slippery what I know before and after chatting with LLM — it’s narrowing in on my thought space, so it’s raising items I think about without the explicit prompt
fwiw I do think content coins is diff than memecoins — the former is content liquidity, the latter is hype liquidity
An easy way to trick yourself into self-confidence is to loudly commit to something easy, and then add a lil more at a time
Almost a full 2 year streak on Duolingo
Multi-token protocols
Thinking about doing a small zine with poetry of the hyper online experience, anyone here want to submit some poetry, and if curated, would get a small physical zine in return?
Crypto is the only place where you can delegate minting rights to assets instead of the asset itself
A common way to protect ourselves from failure is to simply not actually try hard enough. That way we can have plausible deniability if failure. Ironically, this means we are also afraid of succeeding. Fear of failure is fear of success.
Small talk is, most often, indirect exploration via signalling and probing without direct questions / addressing things head on
I should write an essay.
Still insane that we’re allowed to control multi-ton steel killing machines to go get a 1L latte — people will look back at that and gasp at the idiocy
I once wrote something so good I could not believe it was mine; I think, in a sense, this is what grace feels like— when you created beyond what you believe you are capable of (and deserving).
To know others is to meet myself
It is the temptation for noise, for movement, for volatility, that trips us up
The thing with happiness is that it is most often quiet
One thing I’m still curious about is whether swarms will need deterministic trust (blockchain) and/or if they can work with probabilistic ones (like orgs today). I’m unsure whether hivemind will mean all nodes, even with near immediate transparent comms, will be trustworthy etc.
