Once upon a time it seemed like nuclear waste was a bigger threat than climate change, so it made sense for environmentalists to be anti-nuclear. But now that climate change is 1,000,000x bigger of a threat, being anti-nuclear is hopelessly quaint. Now I’m only anti-nuclear while in character at 1980s themed costume parties.

In 2021, the amount of fossil-fuel loans and bond deals provided by global banks was $667 billion (per Bloomberg). After years of global cooperation to decarbonize our energy system the number for 2024 changed to... $680 billion. The climate movement needs new tactics.
