As sakura winds down, I wanted to share a few photos I took of our local California spring ritual: spring wildflower walks. They are not sakura, but they are just as fleeting. Hope you enjoy!

I’m still seeing Sakura but I really have to hunt for it. Most of the blossoms are gone but some of the later blooming varieties are shining through a sea of green!

I love this so much. After the Sakura petals fall, most of the trees burst into a bright green. Combined with the /momiji that’s just starting to become blue green, Japan is awash with greenery everywhere you look. The end of spring is beautiful too.

The cherry blossoms are still hard at work in our area, although they are past full bloom.
The weather is beautiful today, and the reflection of the sakura in the building's windowpanes makes them look even more beautiful.
