Fascinating how the Aetherium crystals from Studio Ghibli’s “Castle in the Sky” accidentally and indirectly inspired the namesake and visual identity for Ethereum (unbeknownst to @vitalik.eth for seven years). I knew I wasn’t the only one seeing the resemblance. The “digital castle” metaphor fits Ethereum aptly (albeit retroactive).

Last week in Singapore was an intense yet inspiring conference experience. I had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people at different stages of their journey in web3, all working to build and contribute to this exciting frontier of the internet that we’re so passionate about.
It was great to hear from many about their experiences with /poap, the memories they've collected through the years, and many times, the love they have for the product. I also had the opportunity to introduce POAP to many, explaining its various use cases and how they can benefit from using POAPs. Just wanted to share this update as I dive back into work and synthesize some of those learnings and continue the discussions we've begun on telegram.

Major theme i'm attending events to at 2049: decentralized social, desci, and network state.
I've been following those themes since bear market, and hasn't changed. glad those are all smaller scale gatherings, w/ interesting, intelligent & edgy crowd, not as massive, commercialized and boring as all the other themes this yr.
also tried to ask ton community if any interesting meetups to go to, but my first encounter w/ ton community member is unfortunately obnoxious, seems like they get too rich, to quick, to become assholes.
