what does a degen.eth name get you that a .eth name doesn't? at best, it seems unnecessary to add another layer of subdomains and, at worst, lead to sending stuff to the wrong address (if the degen.eth subdomain owner doesn't also own the .eth) in my frog brained opinion, unless I'm missing something.

the frog-brained alfa is that your app, coin, NFT, etc. will go to zero if it is optimized primarily for the monetary ponzi, as opposed to fun, collecting, etc., with the monetary rewards as a bonus.

Damn. I deleted a cast several days ago that I used degen rain with that I thought had no replies (and definitely none I liked) but it still seemed to count and took my raindrop balance very negative. Anyway, topped back up so I should be okay, but just lost 10,000 degen it looks like. lol.
