“The book claims that the Lithuanian nation and language do not exist.”
You’d think it’s rather easy to fact-check this, but in a world where water can turn frogs gay and Satanic regimes are on the rise* it might not be so certain.

Amidst the mild unease over the upcoming RU-BY military exercises, it’s worth remembering about their past iterations—especially the 2009 one, where NATO was cast as the target of a simulated nuclear strike.
Fear is a poor advisor.
(but, of course, neither will you find wisdom burying your head in the sand)

That LinkedIn post highlights a more fundamental issue. It’d get no attention if it simply stated: “The European Data Protection Board is conducting public consultation on processing of personal data through blockchain technologies”. It’s indeed more engaging when it reads more like: “Act now, or they’ll destroy everything you love!”.
There’s a little problem, though. Can you really provide any feedback other than “fuck the regulations, dude” if you don’t even read what’s being proposed?
The “DELETING ENTIRE BLOCKCHAINS” in question:

A decent piece explaining why certain geopolitical analyses are flawed through the lens of game theory and behavioral economics.

The most worrisome part: we’re dealing with a limited repertoire of demonstrably false claims whose source is easily traceable. If such basic propaganda proves chillingly effective, what havoc might a truly sophisticated disinformation campaign wreak?https://www.forbes.com/sites/emmawoollacott/2025/04/22/americans-believe-russian-disinformation-to-alarming-degree/
Tipping as a wholesome upper?
We’ve long known that giving enhances well-being, and it doesn’t take a great donation for that boost to happen.
But here's what may be more surprising: the benefits of this kind of prosocial behavior occur even when no social interaction is involved.

It’s also interesting to read the resolution as the part that was problematic for the U.S. delegation is rather mild, but it indeed implies that the Russian invasion shouldn’t just end with Ukraine’s surrender.

The U.S. finds itself in interesting company these days.

That’s not how it works. Spreading misinformation is far easier (and cheaper) than countering it. The average person will be fed multiple misleading or outright false claims a day, it’s impossible to debunk it all. There are efforts to combat the most blatant and widespread fake news, but even that has limited effectiveness.
What this means is simple: unless you’re very deliberate about your information diet, many of the things you believe will actually be bullshit.

And there's no case for change here.
It's as if I owned a shoe factory and wanted to boost sales by suggesting we ditch spoons and start eating soup with sneakers. There might be someone out there who’d find it dope, but ultimately we'd all be better off if I just focused on making better products instead of devising a flimsy use for them. Hard to coin that as innovative.

This kind of attitude brings satisfaction in many areas, not just romantic relationships. While hardly revolutionary, it still can be revolutionary to practice.

Friday's presidential debate in Poland featured all the usual contenders—and one guy named Maciak. When another candidate posed the perfectly reasonable question, 'Who are you?', his answer did little to resolve the mystery.

Some readers may find it strikingly familiar:
• Protests framed as foreign-instigated attempts at a “leftist” revolution
• Protesters stripped of personal agency and genuine grievances, and portrayed as puppets of foreign agendas
• The government weaponizes fear, e.g. branding protests as chaos

In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, it's comforting to know some things just never change.
One reason why an army that looked mighty on paper failed to carry out what should have been a straightforward “military operation” is that cases of similar nature still happen even today.

It's worth being cautious about taking guidance from someone who acknowledges having little meditative experience yet claims to have mastered all the jhānas in mere hours.
Even Siddhārtha Gautama, who is considered to have been a rather skillful meditator, took a bit longer than that…

though if you haven't read, probably better to read after your retreat to not bias the experience too much!

The concern here, though, is not precisely that chicken is washed with chlorine, but rather the conditions under which it is farmed. And chlorine can make food-borne pathogens undetectable, which results in lower microbial counts in testing, but doesn't actually kill them.
