anybody have data on FB groups activity or usage?
anecdotally surprised at how many people i’ve met IRL use it as a forum for their town, for new moms, for Rivian questions, for travel suggestions, for seeing if they’re dating the same guy, etc

Don't forget to sign the Squiggle Farewell contract before it closes (Monday, July 22nd at 12:00pm CT). Participating immutably binds you to the final mint of #9999 that will be going to LACMA
The contract also records if you had a Squiggle at the time of signing. However there were 354 Squiggles in escrow at the time of the snapshot. We worked with @snowfro to make sure the owners of those Squiggles could still participate.
If you have a Squiggle in escrow at this time, you can still participate the same way as everyone else. Simply use the wallet that held your Squiggle before it was sent to escrow to sign the farewell contract (instructions in Snowfro's post).

Squiggle #9950 has 2 special traits that make it stand out 👀
It is a "Ghost," Ghosts are ribbed squiggles with a segment color above 252 and above. They are called ghosts because they are almost invisible. The perfect variety have a segment color that completely blends into the background.
The Squiggle is also the "Twin" to Squiggle #7164.
Twins are squiggles with the same DNA (i.e. same starting and ending color, same color spread, same number of segments, etc) and only different shape.

Snowfro shared today that the Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University now includes Chromie Squiggle #9950 in their permanent fine art collection.
"This is a full circle moment for me, as the Moody Center’s collection also includes Twilight Epiphany, a Skyspace by James Turrell, which was actually one of my earliest fine art experiences that went beyond the canvas. James Turrell is my favorite artist, and a huge inspiration for me in my explorations of light-based color works. As a frequent visitor to museums in my childhood I specifically remember my first time in the Skyspace at Rice as a huge unlock, or “aha” moment in thinking that immersive installations like that represented what would in my opinion most likely be a more compelling art and cultural experience for a more digitally native generation."

I was inspired to watch the original when I heard about the remake. I had never seen it, but I am glad I watched it. Such an iconic movie for a reason. In a lot of ways you can’t compare it to the remake because they are so different.
