I thoroughly enjoyed *Thunderbolts! Best MCU movie since Avengers: End Game. (excluding Deadpool & Wolverine which is a top 5 Marvel movie all time... but not really straight up MCU).
It was deep, thoughtful, funny and "real." Florence Pugh carries the movie for sure. A funny line she says early in the movie: "So none of us can fly? We all only punch and shoot?" Makes this elevator scene later in the movie even funnier.

Recently Marvel took a weird twist where they focused on specific current topics. It was in your face and not for me.
But this new movie Thunderbolts does a really good job at interweaving an important message with a super hero movie.
I won't spoil anything but I'm glad to see them so mfing back.

So I had to watch Sinners again. But this time in IMAX 70mm.
It was even more HD and the surrounding sounds got me! I’m obsessed with the cinematography.

i just finished watching wolf hall yesterday, and it was so stunning i still haven’t recovered.
the last time i felt something like this was watching barry lyndon.
the atmosphere, the tension, the quiet intensity — it’s all there.
it follows the rise of thomas cromwell, advisor to henry viii, navigating the brutal politics of the tudor court with brilliance and subtlety. power, manipulation, survival — portrayed with incredible restraint and depth.
this is a 10/10. highly recommend.

Now that androids have started to mercilessly attack humans, she must protect her family.

The interesting tidbit/theory about this scene is that Hellstrom didn't "realize" they were lying bcs of the 3 fingers. He knew pretty soon, but kept with the charade for his amusement.
The 3 fingers were his "You're not even trying" moment. He thought he found his "intellectual match" and was disgusted when he realized they (specifically Hicox) were not. That's when he "lowered" himself to their level, as is obvious by the obnoxious "burp".
Inglorious Basterds are peak cinema. I should definitely rewatch it soon.

Why recommend the film,G20 because it combines action and social criticism, addressing issues such as female representation in power, the use of technologies such as deepfakes and cryptocurrencies, and the fight against corruption.
