Ten years ago I spent the summer in Iceland building and restoring wilderness hiking trails. At one point I almost died, and I was miserable a lot of the time, living out of a tent and in near constant rain and damp. But enough time has passed that I mostly look back at the experience with fondness.
My town has two types of Mexican restaurants: white people Mexican food (sometimes unironically called "California Style") and actual Mexican food.
This is a cup from the former. They also sell "crustos" cinnamon chips, which are pronounced like "crusty" and not at all like "cruces." And white cheese? Never heard of it.
If you know what you're getting they're actually great. This spot is well loved and has been an institution for decades. It's not Michelin star food — it's fast and convenient comfort food.
