I love vintage tech but I've decided that if I start looking at buying old VCRs, that's a step too far
Do you need a completely awesome, completely unique, completely capable electric cargo bike? I'll sell you mine! Located in Kansas USA but can ship freight in USA.

One of my favorite genres of youtube videos is just "people making things" because I get to see all the different skills and disciplines involved.

But — I think it's a real mistake to say, "I 3D-printed this" and just magically show the part, without showing some of the 3D-design process! That's a skill!
I just need a little volumetric display on my desk so I can have a digital fish.

Really neat project from 'ancient' on youtube.

I gotta quit putting stuff in my "watchlist" on ebay, because when I put stuff in my watchlist, sometimes the sellers send discounts, and when the sellers send discounts, I am more likely to buy, and then I get packages showing up at my house every day that I have to explain
I don't want to work I don't want to cast I just want to watch the newest three episodes of Andor
Saw this fantastic stairwell sconce recently. I'm obsessed.

CircuitMess Chatter 2.0 picked up from eBay.
Cheap LoRa communicators.

Happy claim day! Here's the mini app for claiming $degen. 👇 Click through to the original cast and then click the three dots to add the app to your fc acct.

FYI, you apparently can't claim from the degen dot tips site any longer.

The misinformation on facebook is so bad lately. I see friends of all stripes posting completely unsubstantiated stuff.

The trend seems to be that personal 'influencer' pages write up mini articles with a lot of convincing-sound figures and anecdotes, and add a chart at the end. No sources cited. But if the post reinforces a worldview, it will get shared over and over.

Please just be more skeptical, folks. Ask why! Ask where this is coming from! Even if they are facts you "like" - wouldn't you love to know the original source? Don't just share without investigating.
It turns out you *can* cook tater tots on the stovetop.

How do I know? Desperation. We had just put dinner in the electric toaster oven when our power went out yesterday. Gas stove to the rescue!
These children's products are getting out of control!!

I've started saying "bye-bye" again on phone calls. I'm embracing it.
Who the hell signed me up for daily emails from Island Oysters and how did you know that I love oysters so much??
I should make more of these light-up clocks, too. Just need to hone the process a little bit.

(Belfast clock, original "Glo-Dial" clock with neon from 1950s, O'Keeffe Auto, my version, made in a cookie tin with LED lights)

My first car was a 1973 Triumph GT6 Mk III that I bought for $1700 when I was 16.

It was lots of fun, but it spent more time sitting than actually running. That car broke my heart and emptied my bank account many times.

One time I was driving along, I hear a clunk, and the back end of the car lowered a few inches, and something started grinding along the ground. Pretty soon I see my back wheel rolling past me. One of the lug studs had sheared off.

I always blamed the wheels for issues. Believe it or not, a wheel fell off more than once! It had shiny alloy "minilite" style wheels but they were kind of a pain, so I switched to these steel wheels. They were rusty when I got them so I had them sandblasted for $10 at the cemetery headstone shop, and got them powdercoated at a steel medical cabinet maker for $40. Any color you want, as long as it's white.

I got it running somewhat reliably and decided to sell it. I could ask the new owner how it's doing... but I really don't want to know!!
