we're moving past the hot hots to the entry level super hots. here's my first ripe Pockmark Peach. lightly variable pheno as these were probably F5 seeds, absolutely gorgeous, heading towards 850k-1m+ SHU.

it was almost 2 months for this Mattapeño X mutant jalapeño to ripen. like a small cherry bomb pepper, but one of the most gorgeous plants in the yard. starting deep purple, the a long stage back to green, the first pepper is finally ripened to red.

I'm really not sure overwintering peppers is worth the effort yet. here is a chocolate habanero that took a very long time to restart, but it's catching up to my 1st year plants very quickly. neat how most of the plant definitely died but it's still holding on by one limb. yield will decide if I do this again.
going to give these to my line cooks today to find out how hot everything is 😂

and the truth is, I won't grow these larger tomatoes again. both dwarfs I grew (orions belt & boxers rebellion), had problems keeping alive, upright, and had poor yields despite tons of green tomatoes.
these micro dwarf cherries are awesome tho. some issues but that's user error.

an early contender for best shape this year might be the Crushed Heart. a large plum tomato great for all uses. I have much more unique purple tomatoes but this wavy boi has stolen my heart a bit.

support your tomatoes properly or you might literally watch it split in half down the stem from its own weight. a cautionary tale after celebrating how many tomatoes these dwarfs have yesterday 😂
