Spent the morning self editing myself to try and make a statement while still being a “nice guy”. Fuck that, this channel was made for people to speak their minds not drown in niceties so here it goes:

Constant cringe posting, clueless about crypto culture and the responsibility of someone who sits in his seat. He may be an excellent coder and leader behind the scenes but is an awful external communicator
Crypto will be in much better shape if we collectively speak hard truths. Most of the time a coder isn’t going to be the best person for marketing/sales (and vice a versa needless to say). Base needs an intelligible strategy and people who understand how to communicate that strategy, engage talent, and make base something more than a soulless corporate chain

this season, i wanted to try something new. i asked each guest to choose a theme that really represents them. Lambchop chose “chopper”.
in this episode, we talk about where the name “lambchop” comes from, how she uses the internet to express herself, and what it’s like to share your art and personality online. she also talks about her favorite obsessions, like hello kitty and jeans, and how those random things shape her style and brand.

the author posits that w/o physical presence, conflict loses its bonding potential and devolves into emotional posturing: gossip, exclusion, purity spirals (behavior more common to women vs men).
online, men are incentivized to escalate for engagement rather than resolve for respect. traditional masculine virtues of restraint, honor, and accountability don’t go viral; instead, men perform identities instead of building character and learning how to connect w/ each other (and w/ women).
he writes, "the capacity to cultivate virtues is part of what makes us human. online interactions disrupt those capacities."
they *can* disrupt, but not always: @keccers.eth and i (both women) squabble online all the time, but she is my ride-or-die. i'd go to war with her. our online tension has made our bond stronger, not weaker.
think this piece gives more credit to the algo than it deserves.

Just watched a debate with 5 women, 2 men, and a (female) moderator on set. And it’s so much better. Even when there’s disagreement, the level is way higher. Bullish on women.
