We were at the CSD in Frankfurt yesterday with our children and it was fascinating to learn from the children as an adult.
They don't yet have any socially trained prejudices
They see people at a festival and enjoy the good atmosphere, the bright colors, the many stands without worrying about who is wearing what clothes or holding hands with whom.
For the children, it's not a pride parade because they don't know the social debate. For the kids, it's a festival like any other, where you just have fun and take in the sights around you.
I wish we could all be kids more and enjoy the world around us without judging people based on their appearance.
