McIlroy looked like he was pulling away only a few holes ago, now Conners + DeChambeau could jump into the lead at any moment on the back!
Anything gambling adjacent continues to be one of the best onboarding mechanisms - I told my deeply non crypto BF about using $BRACKY to bet on the /masters and now I have positions in 2 of the top 3 players! (According to him, ofcourse I’ve never watched)
TIL: ESPN and CBS don’t pay any money to broadcast the tournament. Instead, they simply invoice Augusta after the tournament to cover production costs. Augusta then forwards this invoice to their sponsors (AT&T, IBM, Mercedes-Benz, and Bank of America), who pay $5M+ each in exchange for 4 minutes of commercial time per hour.

I suspect it’s because they didn’t bid out the online broadcast rights. Ironically, companies like CBS and ESPN have the hardest time delivering digital entertainment. They get too wrapped up in antiquated models, but The Masters (or whomever owns the rights) cares about quality experience.
