As we head into our final week of trade for the year, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on what has been a crazy and unforgettable year since we opened our doors on 1st February, 2024. In less than twelve months, we’ve welcomed over 45,000 guests – averaging around 870 guests per week. And that’s not counting the 4,500 DoorDash orders sent out, each one leaving the kitchen proudly donning the Noggles.
Building this business was never just about serving food. From day one, we set out to bridge the gap, break down barriers, and embody the core pillars we believe define the DAO. Here’s how we’ve done so far: we’ve minted 5 Deli CC0 recipes, 6 pieces of deli art, and 2 Better Between Bread episodes, racking up nearly 2,000 mints. Collaborating with some of the biggest names in NFTs – including Chimpers, Deadfellaz, and Blockz – allowing us to introduce Nouns Deli and the DAO to other NFT communities.

Finally, Midas's meeting with the president of Nippon Rikagaku Kogyo has come to fruition.

Finally, Midas's meeting with the president of Nihon Rikagaku Kogyo was realized.
We were able to realize a workshop at Tagata Agricultural High School.
We were able to talk about Nouns and our encounters, enjoyed a kit-pass workshop together, and at the end of the workshop, we all had a chance to indulge in a sweet potato that was harvested at the high school.

Had interesting discussions with the Zora team and Nounish artists today.
It seems like Zora is optimizing their minting contracts for wide appeal and high quantity mints at a flat price and then secondaries.
It seems like Nouns is optimizing for high quality subcultures of super fans, which probably means free mints and expensive patronage mints that appeal to a smaller group of more dedicated fans.
We will be launching on Zora either way since we are integrated already and think the secondary markets are interesting experiments.
But if that does not work we may need to launch again with our own community centric contracts.

stretching the ⌐◨-◨ to fit these buildings was sort of an engineering marvel for me! haha (the metal is embedded into the concrete) can’t wait to see how these look when painted and polished
Nouns Deli - Doing Good - Ronald McDonald House Activation, Part 1! 🏡✨
We headed to the Parkville campus, which can house up to 100 guests in need of a place to stay while undergoing treatment at the Royal Children's Hospital.
We cooked up a storm for the families, gifted the amazing Deli Art print by @seaks, along with Nounish Friends and noggles by @bigshotklim.
While we couldn’t capture content of the guests for obvious reasons, the feedback was amazing—they absolutely loved it! 🍔❤️
