Happy Starry Saturday or what’s left of it! 😂

Watching storms travel across the lake into Ohio is so cool.

To see the stars above the clouds is amazing

Then to see lightning arc between the clouds before it becomes a cloud to ground (lake) strike is exhilarating!

I stopped bothering to post about Ohio on Twitter. Farcaster is just better.
On July 23, 1966, the M-497 reached a speed of 183.68 mph (295.6 km/h), an American rail speed record that stood until 1974.

The line had been chosen for its arrow-straight layout and good condition, but otherwise unmodified track.

Turbo jet trains love flat Ohio.

Let's do it! No child should go hungry.

Beyond the moral victory of feeding the needy, it is practical. Kick out the scummy private corps forcing hungry kids into lunch debt.

If you're spending millions to run the schools, pay teachers, etc children should be able to focus on the lessons and not their hunger. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/politics/ohio-politics/ohio-lawmakers-propose-making-breakfast-lunch-free-at-schools

I took a photo of the World's Largest picnic basket.
This basket is outside of Columbus, Ohio and was the office building of the Longaberger basket company, but they went out of business and no one seems to want an office building that looks like a picnic basket outside of Columbus, Ohio, so it now just sits empty.

Ohio birthed the most goated people fr
😫 Fuck. I fucked up my Ohio streak last night by deleting and reposting to fix a typo.

FC is cruel like that sometimes.
Ohio, known as the "Mother of Presidents," has been the birthplace of seven U.S. presidents: Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, William H. Taft, and Warren G. Harding.
Technically, Ohio was illegally operated for 150 years.

When Ohio was admitted to the Union in 1803, Congress forgot to approve its state constitution. It wasn't officially ratified until President Eisenhower signed a resolution in 1953.
Ohio Caverns was discovered by a farmhand in 1897 after noticing a sinkhole on a farm.

Inside these caverns lies the Crystal King, one of the largest and most perfectly formed stalactites in the United States at over 5 feet long and approximately 400 pounds; it's estimated to be more than 200,000 years old.

Don't know how to celebrate Valentine's Day and live near the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio? Then you have something to do!)
The zoo invited visitors to participate in an unusual campaign in Valentine's Day. For $15, you can name a worm after your Ex (or a hated colleague), and watch the sloth bears eating it. You'll calm your nerves and help the animals. Great idea, I think))

200 years ago today, the Ohio Legislature authorized the construction of the Ohio and Erie Canal and the Miami and Erie Canal in 1825.

This vital infrastucture allowed Ohio to become the third most prosperous state for a time in the early 1800s.
