Was just reflect on that feeling of being part of the early group of a social media just like Farcaster. Another app I loved in the beginning was also Airchat.
You’d log in, and it felt like stepping into this world where you actually looked forward to seeing stuff from familiar handles. It’s the same vibe as going to school, knowing you’ll see those friends and have those conversations you’ve been waiting for. There was something special about that—everything felt personal and genuine, like you were part of something real, not just scrolling through endless content.
There was definitely a tipping point with Airchat where people just seemed to get bored and dropped off. It makes me wonder what exactly caused that shift? I wonder if products have a specific timeline stage where users are predicted to drop off. It’s strange how something that once felt exciting and full of life can suddenly fade away.

Is it possible to build a wallet where I can just keep my assets and have it automatically accrue interest for you while your assets sit there. Kinda like how coinbase automatically gives you 4.7% APY for keeping USDC sitting in your account. Personally managing all my assets in the Defi world is scary.
I will go lend and sometimes and I'm scared I will forget my assets sitting on some other protocol. Though most cases they give back some asset in return for you to remember.

Spoke with the folks building finternetlab.io And what really stuck with me is the lens at which they are approaching this - "how do we build for a billion size population" rather than "how do we remove the intermediaries”. You need tools that feel simple and integrate easily to your current life stack.
The harsh reality right now is that while Web3 removes intermediaries like banks and asset managers, giving individuals complete control and ownership, people often don’t know how to manage their assets.
There needs to be a transition layer between managed assets and full ownership, and that’s where the Finternet can step in.

This is so fascinating to know that the trend of wanting to be independent, from government to "do it ourselves" to "do it yourselves" and wanting to control their own lives is what sparked the building of the personal computer, and web3 is now one more step towards that direction, the personal computer was step one.

While wallet creation has become incredibly seamless, a big remaining UX hurdle for crypto onboarding is asking users to fund their newly created wallet with crypto. This is usually the point where I lose interest and drop off.
I wonder if there are work arounds to this? A potential solution could be to pre-load new wallets with a small base balance, allowing users to engage right away without the friction of an immediate deposit.
