We want to make /wildcardclub a welcoming, vibrant, and, more importantly, free-to-join community.
However, we also want to be mindful of spam, which affected us a lot in the previous format.
We are still finding a better way to approach adding members.
For now, reply to this cast or DM me, and I will add you in.
But do note that anyone found spamming will be removed instantly.
What do we consider as spam?
- Sharing WILD allowance frames. WILD is fully phased out, so all Frames are now invalid.
- Sharing unrelated wildlife images without any context.
- Sharing low-effort content.
What we like to see more?
- Well-thought-out content: Mainly around crypto, Farcaster, and consumer crypto
- Original memes
- More feedback on the Wildcard app. Criticize us. Please share what you want from us. These will get higher priority and limelight.
Adhere to the above, and you should be okay.

One aspect I detest about the recent channel changes is being removed from channels like /degen, where I've been an active member since day one.
Now, I have to prove to moderators that I haven't spammed and request reinstatement. Even after doing so, there’s a high chance my request will be ignored.
I understand these changes aim to filter out spam, but if genuine participants must plead repeatedly, it becomes demotivating and counterproductive.
Many will simply leave and move on. By all means, remove spammers, but creating a sense of guilt among users, forcing them to prove their innocence, and pushing them out of participation doesn’t sit well with me.
Of course, token gating, where members need to have skin in the game, is a better way to handle this. However, many popular channels here don't have token gating.
Anyway, enough ranting. Back to being WILD.

The updated new channel moderation is in full effect on Warpcast.
Here is what I have gathered till now:
Summary:
- Only members can cast in a channel.
- Anyone can engage with casts on channels.
- The channel feed is now chronological. No more Trending and recent.
- Third-party tools now allow token gating of channel membership.
- Channel owners can now add moderators.
- Channel moderators now get a bunch of tools to moderate the channel and control spam.
- 'Channels' is the new addition to Warpcast's notification center. Users and channel moderators will receive all channel-related notifications here.
Implication for Wildcard:
- Currently, we are manually inviting previously active members and Wildcard users. If we missed you, send me DC or reply to this cast.
- We are working towards accommodating a new channel feed on the app side.
Overall, we look forward to staying true to our ethos and being WILD in the new Farcaster world.
