hard part about making a token launch platform that focuses on legit builders is that when a project "rugs" it'll negatively impact the perception people have about the platform

This is a good general point that also helps explain why there are so few good crypto apps.

one thing I like to do before sizing into something is seeing the coin get tested
for a pure memecoin that could mean seeing if it can survive a PvP from KOLs that try to vamp it
for a project memecoin it could mean seeing if it can survive backlash or an execution fumble by the dev
how strong it can bounce back from ATL usually means how parabolic it can be breaking out of ATHs

I agree with you there. There are plenty of builders that can build what you're asking for, but with what I understand about the culture of crypto twitter, it's going to be an almost impossible task atm asking the average CT user to pour capital into a system where they can't instantly make riches.
I think it's more prudent right now to build for the user in front of me, not the user that may never come.

I’m highly skeptical any durable product will exist a few years from now.
That doesn’t mean it won’t have market cap. DOGE, XRP, etc.
But you aren’t going to have the next Travis Kalanick building something with this model.

ERC-20s are a better speculation medium than ERC-721s imo
Especially for retail users that are affected by price unit bias and can’t buy an entire ERC-721. Splitting ownership of ERC-721s has been tried, but gets messy
This is coming from a perspective of someone that ultimately believes BTC has the same memecoin characteristics of something like DOGE
Both have stood the test of time so far
