Here is an example of a complex repeat that I created as a historical pattern reproduction last year. I love it so much, and I ordered it on fabric and wrapping paper for myself. With the Repertoire course from Barbel Dressler, I'll advance my ability to create complex repeats with more speed and confidence.

I have been waiting for a year for this course to open. It is an investment, but I am certain that the skills I learn here in surface pattern design will catapult my portfolio forward enough to start licensing patterns with CONFIDENCE. Barbel Dressler has a certain teaching style I resonate with. I'll be using brush on paper and layers of tracing papers, vectorizing by scanning in hand-drawn art, and mastering the art of a professional complex repeat design such as the Damask or trailing floral.
