We are so grateful to the @octant community for voting us in to the next funding round ๐
Zuzalu is breaking out of our bubble and getting funding from non-Vitalik sources to make an impact in the world ๐ช

This winter @zujapan is helping with a ่ถๅฎค (chashitsu) traditional Japanese tea house in the backyard of Akiya Collective's makerspace led by resident Liechtensteiner artist Mike Heidegger who has studied miyadaiku style carpentry in Japan.
The Akiya makerspace had been abandoned for years causing environmental and economic impact to our area. With this custom artisanal tea house, we are not only beautifying the area we are bringing huge economic stimulus to our local economy!
We want share our progress over the past month for the @octant community so here are some clips from the past month. Make sure to scroll and to see the house take shape!
Weโre using locally harvested lumber, traditional Japanese hand tools, and some help from our neighbors to create the structure, walls, and shingles of the ่ถๅฎค.
Here Mike is debarking beams with an axe to prepare them as the main housing posts.

Have you ever wanted to visit rural Japan and experience their traditional lifestyle, food, and craftsmanship?
ZuCity Japan is accepted to @octant Epoch 6 to fund the restoration of our rural town in Japan. We are honored to be alongside great teams like @lottopgf and @gpdevguild.eth this epoch.
This funding will go to equipping our makerspace to repair abandoned homes faster, creating public art, cleanups in our local area, and developing our open source playbooks for buying homes in Japan so more people can move in with us.
As we buy and restore more community-owned properties, anyone can come and host retreats or popup cities at a fraction of the cost while getting the top-tier experience we expect from ๐ฏ๐ต
