germany

/germany103

The hardest part for me about Germany is that I call it home. It feels like home and I love being there. I love my friends, family and the scenery.

I love traditional German values and embrace them as much as I can.

What I absolutely despise is the incompetence "leading" Germany on a national level. And it's the reason I now spend most of my time in Switzerland.

Once I can remove my emotions even more I'll be better off and enjoy it for what it is, but not be sad for what Germany isn't anymore.
Ich habe gerade den Kanal /deutschland erschaffen, weil mir /germany doch etwas aufgezwungen vorkommt.

Ich freue mich ΓΌber deutschsprachigen Content auf Farcaster.
I was trying to understand the different insurance numbers in Germany and found the wikipedia page for 'krankenversichertennummer', which contains sample code (in four languages!) for validating the format of any insurance number

my god, I love this country

The channel name /germany seems so forced. Usually Germans would refer to themselves as /de /Deutschland or /D-A-CH (if we talk about language).

It's one reason I didn't even find it at the beginning.
discombobulation is untranslatable into German imo

Dropping a long German tax letter in to ChatGPT for translation, is a complete game changer!
I think it is a great time to start a new car manufacturer in Germany, close to the headquarters of (yet existing) VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
I only go to German doctors to confirm memes about "drink tea" and "you are fine if you were able to come here and don't look like you're dying"

"German efficiency exposed as a myth" ahaha as a German I can tell you in my lifetime this place has never been efficient. It's plagued by useless bureaucracy, overthinking and people that only like to complain and not do something about it https://www.dw.com/en/euro-2024-german-efficiency-exposed-as-a-myth/a-69436465
not to be (appropriately) humorless but I find that many things are best when run by Germans

although, ironically, the bounty of American supermarkets is one of the things I truly miss in Germany

Don't miss out on the official, free Mint for Euro 2024 from Host City Dortmund. A big thank you to @achimh and his team for making this happen! As one of the featured would say, "We have a grandiose NFT gemintet" πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ https://launchpad.heymint.xyz/mint/tdcdeu
The key Words in this text = long-term & function over form.

Hence it is surprising and then not bc of the attitude im Deutschen Mittelstand.

The one thing /germany has over other countries: a functioning garbage collection system.
