I used to take offline day once a month and offline Sunday every week. I lost this habit due to hectic schedule but aim to bring it back as I always find it valuable for my body and mind
shabbat shalom! praying to you with much strength and grace
Finished The Sabbath by Abraham Joshua Heschel last year, and got around to reviewing it this weekend. A short but very thoughtful book.

"Very good, concise book which helped me develop a more intimate and philosophical understanding of Judaism. Heschel has an influential but singular view of the religion and its practices which are clearly conveyed in The Sabbath. The objective of the book is to provide a broad understanding of the origin of the Sabbath and how it is understood and practiced in Judaism from a moral, not practical, perspective. Heschel makes a convincing argument that the Sabbath is a fundamental and inextricable practice in Judaism that relates to torah, God, Israel, and Hebrew, and seems to unite them. The core argument is that while previous religions had holiness, Judaism facilitated a transition of this holiness from space to time."

I love being Jewish and having an early try at the New Year.

I usually find something I’m unhappy with and change it before the secular New Year.

Shana Tova!

Take extra care to be happy and share with others through the next few days. Your energy here is part of what determines the soul you call in for the coming year.
We have supercomputers in our pockets, cars that can drive themselves, and software that can do standup bits, yet still we need to deal with this shit.

At least he's being honest I guess

Why kinds of Judaism-related content would you like to see?

I’ve got some ideas..
Why are so many rabbis funny? Do they teach you how to be funny in rabbinical school?
