nwsl pre-season from the new seats tonight. coffey + hina strong as always. gonna be a tough year with smith out though.
Portlanders: anyone happen to know of a studio apartment that will be available for rent anytime before March 15? Preferably NE but he'll consider anywhere in the city.
My brother's landlord is selling the house, so he has to find a new place to live on short notice. He's looking on his own via Zillow, etc., but I figure it can't hurt to ask here too. Price range flexible; move-in date is most important.
I'd like to help him find a place because if nothing works out he may have to move into *my* tiny studio. We'd both like to avoid that... lol.

Story time.
Last night, I was coming out of the gym and got into my car in the poorly lit gym parking garage. I heard a voice, and thought I had accidentally dialed someone on my phone. As I was fumbling to pull my phone out of my pocket, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye.
A (presumably) homeless woman, half-way conscious (whole-way high on fentanyl) was laying on the floor of my backseat. It scared the shit of me, and I jumped out of the car, yelled at her to "get the f*ck out of my car". She did, as she slurred apologies, though it took her a couple minutes because she was high AF and wedged between the seats (LOL).
As startled and angry as I was in the moment, there was also a part of me that felt compassion and sympathy for this person. I feel like I've been grappling with this mix of emotions since.

I was so exhausted when my flight arrived at PDX last night that I forgot to cast my "goth shoe selfie"... lol. But I did remember to take it.

I miss Portland so much right now while I'm out of town.
Autumn + winter are my fav seasons. Love the grey skies, rain, and the scent of Douglas Fir + Red Cedar trees.
Much as I gripe about the city sometimes, all it takes is a few weeks away and I'm counting down the days 'til I can return.

Hi Portlanders. I'm flying from PDX to HNL next week & haven't been on a plane since pre-COVID days. I'd appreciate advice from more experienced travelers.
Is 2 hours enough lead time to arrive at the airport before a 7:30 AM flight? I have TSA PreCheck, but according to the FlyPDX website, mornings are the busiest.
