My mom was a bit over-involved with me and still is.
I hated that when I was younger. I have a lot of respect for her.

But I didn't like that part of her so I don't mess with my own kids much. I communicate with them on a regular basis because I know that if they are having a hard time mentally, they will ask me for help!!

As I got older myself, I finally found a way to cope with my mom.
Be grateful for what she has done.

It can be annoying at times, but I have learned to be flexible because there is nothing I can do to change her personality😂😂

I was out of town today, so I had a to-go Katsudon from Katsuya!!

Once my middle school son started his school winter break, he immediately started staying up late, playing pc games, and living an irregular life😂😂

But he is attending cram school until tomorrow because he is preparing for the high school entrance exam…

I don't mess with him too much because he has a good balance between his own enjoyment and his studies!

As the New Year approaches, supermarkets are lined with many Mochi (rice cakes)
They are baked in a toaster, and the Mochi in this photo has a slit in it for easy baking!!

I eat it simply with sugar and soy sauce✨✨

It is delicious with soybean flour or with Mochi in oshiruko!

I ate a lot today because I was out with my daughter!!

Since it is already the 26th in Japan, I bought a Christmas cake a day late.

Since my kids are already in middle school, we each chose a cake we liked. My daughter also bought macarons, so we went a little over budget lol
