I gained confidence by looking better.
This time last year, I was a mess. My first business was failing, and I couldn’t let go. The stress made me gain weight fast, and I hated how I looked. I had no clothes that fit and avoided pictures. My confidence was gone.
One day, I made a decision: register for the gym. I told myself, “I’m taking my life back.”
It was hard at first—no visible results, and people laughed when I said I was working out. But my brother held me accountable. I kept going. I kept pushing—literally.
Then things changed. I started to look better. My confidence grew. I began showing up on LinkedIn. I started improving in all areas.
I still have a long way to go, but I love my journey. And I want to keep sharing it.

A reasonable man adapts to the world around him. While an unreasonable tries to get the world to adapt to him. 🏋️

Are you doing your best?
This weekend, I watched a YouTube video where the speaker asked this simple question.
He said, "You cannot fail if you are doing your best."
It made me stop and ask myself – Patrick, are you really doing your best?
Am I really doing what’s necessary to get where I want to be in life?
And I think you should ask yourself too — are you really doing your best?
It’s not just about the results. It’s about the discipline.
My mentor always says, "I want 100% or nothing."
At the end of each day or week, ask yourself — could I have done better?
It’s not insecurity.
It’s you recognizing that even good can become better.
This is a charge to all of us: make sure you are doing your best.
Happy new week.

Hello everyone, it's leg day again😭😭😭
Stop being nice.
No, not cruel. Just real.
Niceness and kindness are not the same.
Niceness is a performance.
Kindness is a principle.
Niceness makes you say “sure!” when you’re already drowning.
Kindness says, “I’d love to help, but I’m at capacity right now.”
Niceness says “it’s fine” when it’s not fine.
Kindness says, “That didn’t sit well with me, let’s talk about it.”
Niceness is avoiding discomfort.
Kindness is clarity with calm—even when it causes discomfort.
Here’s what I’m learning:
You can be warm and set boundaries.
You can be thoughtful and say no.
Let’s stop confusing kindness with self-abandonment.

Practice breeds improvement
Remember that mechanic who fixes your car? Think they’d be that good without years of practice?
Same goes for plumbers, electricians, tailors—they’ve all honed their skills.
So why, as a writer, aren’t you practicing daily?
No job yet? That’s not an excuse.
Opportunities come to those who are prepared.
If you can’t write 1,000 words a day, how will you keep up with client work?
Not even about the word count—will your quality be good enough?
Out of practice = lost opportunity. Don’t let that be you.
Start small. Be intentional.
Write for 10 minutes/day.
Grow to 20, then 30.
Shift to word count: 500 → 700 → 1K+.
Right now, I’m at 1K/day, still pushing for better.
Because if you expect your barber or mechanic to deliver, your employer will expect the same from you.
So get to work.

Been learning French on Duolingo for over 500 days now (crazy, right?), and I’ve realized something deeper than just vocab and grammar.
At first, I was scared to fail. I didn’t want to lose hearts. But eventually, I learned this:
Failing is part of learning.
Losing hearts doesn’t mean I won’t become fluent—it just means I’m trying.
And as long as I keep going, I will get better.
That applies to way more than French.
So if you’re working on anything that challenges you—keep at it. Mistakes don’t disqualify you. Quitting does.
Let’s keep growing.
And hey, if you’re on a personal dev journey too, let’s connect.
