of all the kids' shows my kids have obsessed over, lego ninjago is my least favorite... it's such a clear money grab, so shameless!

the more things change, the more they stay the same - it's got a color screen, fancy watch case and it's own "metaverse" now, but tamagotchi is still around!

oldest kid had her friend sleep over and they asked for pizza for dinner

while helping my son put his jacket on, i discovered in the left pocket a cornucopia of uneaten food, including but possibly not limited to strands of string cheese, cookie crumbles, twigs and what looked like crushed acorns (note: i do not pack acorns in their snacks)...

one thing i'm viewing as a 'win' this weekend is that the kids went nearly 3 whole days of being home before thinking to ask me if they could watch TV today (so i let them while i made dinner)
not that i'm against screen time, as i spent *a lot* of time on the PC myself... but it was cool seeing them find & enjoy other things to do as we currently rough it without adult supervision 🧢

After loosing most of my cool collab' tshirts to my toddler spreading food on them while I carry her, now I understand first hand why the fashion style known as "dad style" consist of basic color uniqlo tshirts. I have PTSD, I don't wanna buy a fancy tshirt anymore...
