Ever wonder what happens in that 12 seconds between each Ethereum block? Well now there is a really good visualization to see each step. From builder, relayer, proposer, gossiping, attesting, and finally accepted stages of each block. You can also see the geo location from participating nodes as well as top bids from each builder per block.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

Blobs were one aspect the latest Ethereum upgrade (Pectra) had an impact on. The blob target was raised from 3 to 6 per block while the max is now 9 per block. We already know that blobs are much much cheaper than posting the same data as "calldata", but when you look at the total amount saved it's staggering! ~$420m thus far in savings! Over the past 24 hours there have been blocks with 9 blobs but the majority have 0, 3, and 6 respectively.

The United Arab Emirates looks set to integrating AI education in its schools’ curricula, meaning all children from kindergarten to high school will learn about the technology, how it can be used day-to-day, and the best ways to implement the various types of models.
UEV Daily Dashboard:

Ethereum upgrades don't happen very often (typically once per year) but Pectra just went live earlier this morning so let's dig into the account abstraction (EIP-7702) stats for the first few hours of the upgrade.

-300+ authorizations
-15+ authorized contracts
-2 cross chain authorizations

ZAMM is a new type of DEX utilizing ERC6909 offering access to swaps and LPing for far less than with traditional ERC20 tokens. Essentially there is a single contract that handles all swaps and liquidity management. Currently there are only 4 coins deployed with higher than 1 eth liquidity, ZAMM being the largest.

Today's tool comes in the form of an Ethereum news aggregator site called OnCoins. With so much FUD and narratives on popular social channels, it's nice to find a site that cuts through the noise and provides real signal to what is actually going on. With Pectra a couple days away, find an article that teaches you something new about one of the EIPs included!

UEV Daily Dashboard:

Ethereum has gotten a bad wrap lately however it's easy to spot bad narratives when you have access to good data. Today's dashboard highlights two important activity charts for Ethereum mainnet. Gas fees might be low but activity is up, this is good!

-8.72m weekly transactions (+8%)
-2.06m weekly active addresses (+11%)

World (previously WorldCoin) recently announced they are rolling out support for the US. This is a big move for the project and the overall crypto market because now there can be a verifiable list of truly "unique" wallet addresses.

-531m WLD given as grants to over 10m people
-25m World wallets (also safe wallets)
-700k active world wallets

It's that time again to check in on the status of Ethereum's Layer 2 Ecosystem. Not all L2s are made the same, with different tech stacks, risk parameters, and security assumptions. The only true "Stage 1" layer 2 network at the moment is Arbitrum One meanwhile Base, Optimism, Scroll, Unichain, Ink, and Kinto are now technically "Stage 1" but will be moved to "Stage 0" in ~90 days if they don't upgrade.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

BlackRock's BUIDL onchain asset has seen phenomenal growth over the past few months. Going from about $500m to $2.5b in less than two months with the majority of tokens minted and stored on Ethereum. The fund has also experimented with tokenizing on layer 2 networks like Arbitrum and Optimism as well as alt-L1s like Avalanche and Aptos.

VIRTUAL has been on a tear lately since bottoming out last month around $0.4. The token is now trading close to $1.5 but let's take a look at the protocol behind the token.

-0-15 new DEX pairs added per day since last month
-Agent fees back over $100k for first time since Feb 2025
-Most metrics just starting to show a bit of life again

If you're interested in some of the top places to park your stablecoins while you wait to deploy that capital, here is a dashboard that breaks down venues with over 4% APR (variable) along with their TVL. When sorting by TVL you'll see most of the top pools hover around 4.5% like SkyLend and Ethena staking. Interesting to note GHO through Fluid Lend is earning about 13% right now.

If you've been following DeFi for awhile you may have heard of Euler, and yes you are probably pronouncing it wrong in your head. After growing a substantial TVL back in 2021, the FTX drama and a protocol hack took its TVL to $0. Since then the team has been grinding to make it a better and more secure product. Their two products are "Vaults" and a "Vault Connector". The TVL is above $1.3b with ~50% borrow utilization. Meanwhile the protocol is earning about $10k per day in fees.

Yesterday we took a look at the Perps market and more in particular Hyperliquid since the dominate the space. Today's dashboard looks at GMX giving insights into both V1 and V2 volume, users, fees, TVL, and much more. Here are some interesting insights I found.

-Arbitrum V1 and V2 do about $1m in fees per week
-$65m of long open interest vs $54m of short open interest
- V2 total trader PNL is -$10m (traders are losing)

https://dune.com/gmx-io/gmx-analytics
UEV Daily Dashboard:

Perps are a big business in the crypto industry and as of the past year or so Hyperliquid has been steadily increasing marketshare from previous market leaders like dYdX and GMX. For color, Hyperliquid does about $6b of volume per day while the next biggest venue (Jupiter) does less than $800m.

After further investigation it appears Zora's app doesn't use the Zora chain for their token creation and swaps but instead uses Base. So far there have been over 500k coins created, 110k+ coin creators (this is probably due to botting), and over $600k in rewards for creators. This will be interesting to watch post airdrop news.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

While a lot of crypto twitter is talking about Zora and tokenizing content (which isn't exactly translating to onchain traction) this query below shows the market share for token launch pads on Solana. Last week Radium launched their version to compete with pump dot fun however it has less than 1% marketshare on a daily basis.

Towns can be thought of similarly to a Web3 Discord allowing for group chat dynamics. There are currently over 250k unique point holders, with the majority of addresses (~65k) having between 1k-2k points. A big stat to keep an eye on is whether or not large groups will start to gain more traction, currently there are only 151 "towns" with more than 200 members.

Today's dashboard comes with a bit of a question. The chart provided shows how much gas has been consumed historically by the Ethereum blockchain per day since inception. Currently, Ethereum is consuming the most gas it has ever managed at about 130m gas per day since early February. Can anyone point to what contracts/entities has led to this significant increase?

Etherscan has a lot of great resources when it comes to charts and metrics (especially for Ethereum Mainnet) and the beacon chain contract is one of the most important smart contracts on Ethereum. Since May 2023 the majority of beacon chain deposits have been unlabeled entities (at least by etherscan). Previously to that the majority of stake was being routed through Lido.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

Aave is absolutely crushing it. With over 11.5m ETH in the protocol, I think it's safe to say Aave V3 is by far one of Ethereum's largest "ETH sinks". A lot of this deposit activity can be attributed to funds and individuals looking for yield on the ETH and possibly deploying delta neutral positions.

https://defillama.com/protocol/aave-v3?denomination=ETH&events=false
UEV Daily Dashboard:

Bridge activity can be a telling metric for demand to transact on a certain L2. However, it may not tell the whole story. From this dashboard you can see the lack of demand to send ETH to zk rollups like ZkSync and Starknet meanwhile Arbitrum One and Optimism bridging remains relatively steady. I don't believe the Base queries are correctly tracking activity due to the charts sudden drop off.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

Fluid Lend is a product by the Instadapp (now Fluid) team competing with other lend/borrow protocols like Aave. With deployments on several chains including Arbitrum and Base, the TVL is primarily denominated in USDC and USDT while the majority of value on Ethereum mainnet.

UEV Daily Dashboard:

OpenEden's stablecoin USDO has recently reached a supply of ~$95m with the majority of it on Ethereum and about $6m on Base. The stablecoin, backed by Treasury bills and reverse repos, has only been live since January of this year. There are close to 5k unique holders but something to keep an eye on is the recent decline of TVL on Curve.

Curious about the landscape of liquidations over the past month? Here is a cumulative dashboard of liquidations for Compound, Aave, and MakerDAO. Past 7 days has experienced ~$150m with the majoirty of it on Aave and MakerDAO (particularly CDP 1985). It would be nice to see Fluid thrown into the mix here along with L2 networks.

NFTs are definitely not extremely popular as they once were in 2021 but Base still has a little bit of NFT activity. February had two days where there was ~800k minted and ~500k minted NFTs alone but most of the days have been between 20k-100k. Average gas fees have declined this year from ~$0.1 to about $0.02 now.

Optimism, OP Superchain, and the OP token are an integral part of Ethereum's layer 2 vision. After the upgrade on mainnet to create the blob market L2s have been making away like bandits when it comes to onchain revenue/profit. Here are some quick stats on Optimism's native chain.

-13,208+ ETH all-time onchain revenue
-949k transactions per day on average
-0.05 ETH average price to post data to Ethereum

Coinbase has been highlighting their "DeFi Mullet" product on Base for awhile now by integrating Morpho for overcollateralized loans. Currently there is about $94m in collateral backing about $50m in debt from almost 3,000 unique wallets. The primary collateral type is Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin on Base and the primary debt type is USDC.

Did someone say Polygon? Yes, even though there are plenty of alternative "layer 2" options for people to transact cheaply with these days, Polygon has recently seen a surge in USDC "Velocity". Defined as transfer volume divided by circulating supply, stablecoin velocity measures how frequently a unit of stablecoin changes hands within a given timeframe.

-Ethereum stablecoin supply at 50%+ of market share
-Blobs are 0.7% of all blockchain fees
-Sui's Walrus Protocol helps chain stay active
-Sei hits $400m in TVL

Today we are switching gears to look at ETH ETF metrics since the start of the year. While there has been a net inflow of ~460k ETH into the ETF vehicles, Q1 2025 has been tough with the exception of the first week of February. From the looks of flows, it looks like there could be a flip from outflows to inflows in the near future. Grayscale, BlackRock, and Fidelity lead the way in terms of AUM.
