If the "black list" from top collectors is a thing, I am certain I am in it.
It makes me so mad to see them "help" artists by telling us what to do when their advice benefits NO ONE except their small circle of very successful artists, those who did exactly what they tell us not to do.
This is one reason I am sick of the community on X, and I am glad I found a great community of artists and degens here on Warpcast.
I started selling art as NFTs in 2021.
On few occasions, I saw big sales related to the actual quality of the art. Every big sale was attached to a serious marketing strategy/play. Some were brilliant; some were purely based on relationships.
The only reason I am still here is because I believe in the technology and what we can build with it in the long run.
It will change when we onboard art appreciators (buy to hold, support and enjoy the art) and not crypto investors (who buy thinking of how much they can make on secondary, and if they can sell as assets in case they need liquidity).

I decided to check how mints go in the new Zora app.

Milton didn't cause much damage here. I've seen reports of a few tornados, but all is well overall. The tropical storm didn't even manifest our way.
School is canceled today, but I expect it to be back tomorrow.
This is the view from my balcony and all is peaceful in Miami.
I saw very high power outage reports (75-95%) in the storm's path, and I am anxious to hear from friends in the direct path. Tampa and the region were hit pretty hard.
@angelikakollin please let us know how you are. I see your scheduled casts only. 🙏

There is a chance we will have no power for a day or so but mostly, Miami is not in the main path and we should be fine. Floods and tornados are in the forecast.

Currently back to learning FB ads. Looks similar to when I used to do it, so I just need to get back on track.
Deciding on a print to promote and test an audience campaign.
My biggest problem has always been target audience.
I can go with my old Charleston art as I already have some pretty accomplished market so it is a matter of warming it back up.
However, I want to test my new art, especially the LGBTQ art.
I'll report results after my testing is done :-)

I reopened my online shop on September 1st.
A former client placed the first order immediately after I announced I was back in business.
There is a lot BTS in running a business. The bureaucratic part is the hardest, so I focused on that first to get it out of the way and move ahead properly.
Almost a month in, and I am still working on logistics and have not yet started with ads or proper promotions on social but former clients continue to surprise me with unexpected orders.
Today, I got a call from a lady asking if I still had notecards. She wanted 100 of the same design she had bought from me before. I am surprised she found my new number. In a couple of hours, I found a good supplier, recreated the design, and she came through with the order.
I had built a very strong relationship with my clients, most of whom are recurring buyers. The only reason I closed my shop was that I went through a terrible divorce, chose my son (of course), and lost the business.
Glad to be back in business!

My son has friends over. The boys are adorable but geeeez they are loud. I think I run upstairs and grab a beer. I definitely I earned it 😂
I use ChatGPT a lot to brainstorm ideas and work on things for my shop.
Even though I have several chats open for each subject, it uses a memory system, and every day, it learns more about each of us.
Today, I was working on a subscription model for Hypersub, and it suggested that I could use a code I offer to first buyers in my shop.
It even knows the actual coupon code I am running at the moment!
This may worry some people, but as a 1 person business, having a virtual assistant that remembers all my conversations is actually quite helpful.
