We've been working on this game a long time now - huge amount of hand-drawn art assets.
My problem with on-chain games is they often dance on the line of just being pure slop/shovelware.
Hoping we can break the cycle on this.

Today's Based Gooeys lore post is about the Grumpy Stump!
Grumpy Stumps are tree stumps that have come to life from the energy flows found within the Shimmering Fields. Like Wily Wisps, Grumpy Stumps are possessed by an inner spirit.
Grumpy Stumps are easily annoyed by intruders who encroach into their territory or steal their precious mushrooms. This is problematic for foraging Gooeys, who often find delicious fungi covering a stump and try to harvest them, unaware that the stump is alive--and very grumpy!
Grumpy Stumps tend to be fierce creatures. Territorial by nature, they often give up chase once you leave their turf.

Happy Near Year frenpais! It's been a fantastic year for ol' arfy, and I am feeling super lucky. The year has not been without stresses and challenges, but overall I feel I'm closing it on the positive.
- Thankful for Farcaster, where I feel cosy with socials again.

Been a while since we dropped some new Based Gooeys lore over at @novadao, but we've been working hard! Our lead artist has been doing a fabulous job bringing our NPCs to life with some amazing concept art and in-game sprites. 🔥🐱🎨

Today's Based Gooeys lore is about the Wily Wisp!
Natural tricksters, Wily Wisps are spirits comprised of energy flows found throughout the island. While Wisps can appear across the lands, they tend to congregate around the Shimmering Fields due to its abundant energy flows.
Wily Wisps have a mischievous chaotic nature, often attempting to lure, scare and steal from unwary Gooeys as sport and entertainment.
Wily Wisps are able to change form, playing tricks on naïve Gooeys. They often imitate the appearance of Gooeys as a way to lure unsuspecting Gooeys into dangerous situations. Benevolent Gooeys commonly fall victim to Wily Wisps, mistaking them for their kin in need of assistance.

A lil more lore for my beloved goobabies, and monster sprites to boot.
Gooeys was one of the first purely on-chain games (entire game logic/"engine" was inside a single smart contract) - I'm hoping this cycle we'll get to hit a lot more firsts like that.

Today's lore is about the Clutter Crab!
As their name suggests, Clutter Crabs collect things and place them on their shells as trophies. Some of their finds are of questionable utility, but they will collect and steal whatever catches their eye!
Unfortunately their penchant for theft means that Gooeys are often faced with the challenging task of confronting Clutter Crabs to reclaim stolen items.
Clutter Crabs grow in size during their lifetime and like most hermits, prefer a life of solitude. Today's lore post is about the elusive Coralhorn!
Coralhorn are commonly hunted for its delicious meat while their hard coral bones are used to craft jewellery, tools and weaponry. Coralhorn are agile beasts, but extremely timid in nature. They are large creatures, who don't normally view Gooeys as a threat. Coralhorn are well protected, their weakness being their soft underbellies. It makes traditional hunting with arrows and blades difficult as they simply run away. Their fortified bodies mean that Gooeys generally try to stun Coralhorn for the kill, rather than hunting them outright.
Typically, Gooeys will try to spook Coralhorn with loud traps and unexpected noises from high up in the Squashroom treetops. By causing enough of a calamity, the Coralhorn may be stunned long enough for Gooeys to go in for the kill. Careful of their charging horns though--an angry Coralhorn can cause serious damage!

Absolutely agree with Mike Dudas here, and part of our DAO's decision to migrate liquidity to @base is on this premise: to offer quality, long-term project tokens on a highly accessible chain like Base.

Gooeys are optimistic creatures: they believe that if one wishes hard enough, things will work out--and they often are right! Their child-like curiosity for the world around them frequently leads to fascinating discoveries, particularly when crafting and cooking.
Gooeys find new ingredients and materials on their adventures, which they don't have much knowledge about. Luckily they are fairly immune to food poisoning, and their desire to try to cook everything often leads to enchanting and useful buffs. However, we don't recommend trying their dishes if you're not a Gooey, no matter what they promise you!

Just a reminder that I do a lot of dev/deployer for hire work, but the only tokens I contribute to long-term are /nova and imgnai
Generally my stints with teams to oversee launches etc are bout 1-2 (intense) months; and that’s also why I don’t do it very often.
Got the long-term dev commitments to uphold, and the schedule is very busy these past few months.
Nova and imgnai are amazing utility-focused tokens, but rn the meta is more on the meme and agent side (imgnai doin work on the latter tho).
Memes are fun but honestly, v exhausting from a dev perspective. Launching them right is more work than anything else in the industry.
Most memes tend to fall down because they’re usually “learner” projects that just figure stuff out as they go. It’s very easy to think by nature they’re chill projects, but they’re anything but that if they’re done right.
Think I’ve had my fill of the meme game as a buidler for now tho. Back to the long-term stuff for me.

What Gooey villages lack in neatness and modernity, they make up for in cosiness. Precision engineering may not be their forte, but everything is constructed with passion: homes are a part of a Gooey's identity.
Homes usually look like a small mound, sometimes embedded at the trunk of a large tree. They have windows, doors, and even wooden extensions to support a growing Gooey family!
Homes are reinforced inside with clay, and adorned with vegetation and flowers. Shards of yellow energy crystals are used for lamps, which gives Gooey villages their distinctive welcoming glow, seen from a distance even within the darkest depths of Fae Forest.

Updates on the NovaDAO project.
Based on my research, the utility NOVA presents is way up there with mainstream tokens. I dare say being early here is akin to hopping on degen train at the onset of Warpcast.

USDO, Nova's dogecoin-backed stablecoin has now held the $1 peg for 229 days so far.
It remains over-collateralized by 261.565%; and until recently, stood as the *only* stablecoin available on Dogechain (bridged usdc & usdt arriving back in!)
USDO serves more as a technical showcase than anything else, as its inherent "safety first" mechanics makes it very difficult to grow in liquidity.
However, the protocol itself has stood through some deeply turbulent times in the market without breaking a sweat.

One of the protocols we support with our custom DeFi/Yield codebase is DeFi Girls; a collection of 6,765 NFTs on Polygon.
Their request was simple; they had a treasury which they wanted to put to work for their holders.
We developed a suite of DeFi tools that allowed us to get their treasury into concentrated liquidity balancers, track the fees/rewards, and distribute it evenly among every NFT holder each month.
To date, our LP management has racked up a total of 18.69 ETH in fees for their community, all distributed via smart contract based on how many NFTs any individual owns. Approximately 20% of the fees went directly to Nova, fuelling our own growth.
This is the basis behind upcoming releases under Nova such as /cypher - building sustainable and long-lasting reward systems from real yield.
In everything we build, we aim for real revenue generation & sustained growth to boot. We're hugely looking forward to putting these strategies to work for everyone at Nova over the upcoming cycle.

I've just published one more @novadao governance vote on behalf of the DAO! Proposal to reduce the governance voting window to 1 week (currently 2 weeks). 2w is excessive, especially when we have multiple proposals depending on the previous outcome... can be a real process blocker.

- The owner is not renounced; this isn't a memecoin 😬, the contract is owned and controlled by the DAO! Ownership will be transferred to the DAO Multisig over the next few days (after verifying the deployer via basescan etc).
- The total supply is also off on dexscreener; once coingecko updates with our base contract, this will be shown correctly. The starting supply was 1.4bil, which was reduced to 940mil following burns. The circulating supply is around 670mil; with the remainder owned by the DAO Multisig (i.e: you, the community).
