Workshopping something to explain the network effects behind Bittensor (a la Sacks's famous Uber napkin sketch). Thoughts?
I've been reading up on various Distributed Training research endeavors. Inspired by @, here is what I have come across.

my 3 token2049 takeaways:

1/ there aren't enough credible AI-adjacent crypto projects with live tokens to match retail interest. after $TAO $AKT $NEAR the list falls off pretty drastically.

2/ blockspace is a solved problem.

3/ bespoke events > large catch-alls.
Exo is building Apple Intelligence, but in an open, sovereign and decentralized fashion. Super proud of this team!

This is sick. Diffusion based text-to-video model resulting in infinite interactive worlds. Trained on a 4090 in 2 days.

Our founder offsites are just us riding around in a Waymo listening to podcasts.
Excited for the launch of Bitmind's subnet, an AI powered "community notes" platform starting with the focus on image deepfake detection.

Alex was an applied scientist at Amazon and built distributed training systems during his time there. Given his experience, he methodically debunks several myths related to decentralized training.

I just purchased onchain on Base Cafe - State of Crypto. One click buy and gasless on @slice and @coinbasewallet
Isn’t she lovely

Really excited for $VIRTUAL launching on Base! One of the slickest gaming (decentralized) AI platforms I've come across!

I am excited to announce that Canonical is co-leading an investment in Tensorplex. Tensorplex is focused on building infrastructure for decentralized AI networks, starting with the Bittensor ecosystem.

My 10yo will religiously discard pizza crusts. But loves breadsticks. 🤔
I've talked to a number of founders about wanting to launch a $TAO subnet. I've identified a rubric (VCs, amiright?) for what would make for a successful subnet based on taostats.
Some subnets are clearly more productive than others and well suited for Bittensor.
I’m moderating a panel on the importance of open source & AI at /ethdenver with these fine people.
What are some Qs I should be asking them?

I can't help but think that the Vesuvius Challenge could make for an epic
@bittensor_ subnet. The incentive mechanism of subnets seems ripe for a challenge like this.
I'd hit send but that brings it own set of headaches

Shower thoughts: interesting framework to think about Subnets in the context of Bitcoin:
- Bitcoin relies on miners implementing Proof of Work for rewards.
- Bittensor Subnets utilize Proof of Useful Work, where code completing useful tasks (typically machine learning) are rewarded.
