Updates on Roc Camera:
- Domestic orders shipping starting in May is our current estimate (may still slip)
- Software work has been focused on bug fixes in video streaming (a lot of gstreamer / WebRTC / RTSP / H.264 codec fixes we’ve been slogging through)
- Also want to make sure it’s GPU hardware accelerated
- Hardware side is done
- Currently wrapping up optimizing for manufacturability
- We've printed all the lenses
- Next we'll print all the other individual components in batch one by one
- Then after, we’ll tackle assembly
- All our boxes that we ordered months ago have all arrived
- Then need to get all the stickers that go on the devices
- Then we will be shipping them out

The ondevice zk module from @faust expanded to all devices on @weatherxm (cc @vrypan.eth ) to generate proof of untampered data including calibration, streamed to Blocksense network (zk oracle built by @zahary.eth ) and fed to products like Skysight (built by Matthew Scutter) is a match made in heaven 🤯

given *every* device now records calls/meetings at sound driver level. we'll see emergence of apps/devices that guarantee your call is not being recorded

To be clear I have zero knowledge of how either project works (🤣) so I don’t know what the two stories here are or if there are even two distinct stories vs subplots.
But jeez the worldcoin Orb has terrible branding and design. The thing may be zk-ified and be made by a “tools for humanity” gang, but it *looks* like an Eye of Sauron with Sam Altman as Sauron. It’s the Segway of DID and attestation projects.
The Roc camera at least *looks* like it’s for the people/of the people/by the people even if @july turns evil and goes full Sauron on us.

An interesting point and something we’ve though of with @faust
How I’ve thought about it is: the sensor data is objectively true, meaning it came from the sensor. But what happens, or happened in the real world, is in a way going to be interpreted one way or another. One persons reality is always going to be subjectively different from another; even if they use the same data point for sure
