Getting ready for Saturday. Ankle still niggly which wasn't helped today on my last run before the big day but I'll walk THE LAP Windermere if I have to!
I'm in a taper week - big run on Saturday. Finding pilates and yoga such a vital part of recovery in the lead up to a big run. Have found the FIIT app to be a great resource which has helped with self discipline alongside strength and avoiding injury.

In one week I'll be fully kitted up again and in the lake district running (and walking) 75km around Lake Windermere. It's a personal challenge but it's also a way to raise awareness and support for charities like Reverse Rett who have been a great support to my daughter and me.

QC with your favorite dumb character
A 15 mile plod around Reigate to get some miles in during my tapering weeks. Great views and loads of bluebells.
The Bluebells are out and make a great way to start the day on a sunny Spring morning.
I make little recordings of my runs and walks and stick them on insta/tiktok. They aren't super slick but besides being memories for me, I hope they provide some motivation for others to get out and about and enjoy exploring trails.

This was the first time I've done a lapped ultra. Planned this one to test fueling at half way point and making sure I had enough fluids and foods on board for each lap. Very tired but great prep for my 75km ultra in May in the lakes - never done more than 60km so will be a new challenge.
There isn't much that beats a sleepy snuggle with your child. Rosalie is super tired after swimming with her carer today ❤️.

I'm still processing the fact that we've reached our goal so quickly. "Thank you" and "grateful" doesn't cover it at all. What an amazing community of people here in /farcaster and /live-the-same.
The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind of me being blown away by donations and people being so kind and generous and sharing our story. I owe this to @hankmoody being up for interviewing me and sharing Rosalie's story. 🙏

I made a friend in Mallorca. A beautiful wild Tortoise making it's way across a coastal trail.
Managed to fit a long run in while on holiday. 28 miles, the first 10k included some technical rocky trail along the coast. Mallorca is beautiful 👌.
