join me @ the plenary friday around 10:45 for something deeply unhinged

(me talking user generated markets)
so much talk about consumer and yet /brat didn’t even exist on FC until now

disappointing
it’s Monday…

time to ponder
so goddamn bullish
nyc is bloominggggg

new podcast episode with @flynn.eth just dropped ✨

+ AI agents in crypto systems
+ crypto as a universal language
+ shifting from idealism to realism

last time Brian was on the pod was the first episode — almost three years ago (!!)

this was a lovely return episode 🔮
aaaand we're BACK!

new podcast episode just dropped w/ @dwr.eth and @jessepollak

we're talking onchain network effects and distribution in consumer crypto

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
sent my sister (who is not into crypto) a little bit of ETH on base

she went wild…

easy to forget how fun it is to just buy a bunch of random tokens
last cycle’s consumer crypto wave was rooted in bringing IRL culture to digital spaces (and vise versa)

NFTs communities, scenes like FWB, etc

this cycle’s consumer crypto (frames, friendtech, crypto the game) feels primarily digital
using /jihad for musings now

thinking we tend to underestimate the power of network effects in crypto

eg, frames without farcaster user base are much less exciting

but when you have network effects that allow for reach, embedded onchain activity becomes hugely valuable
ok but a @uniswap frame would be very cool

context-rich swaps embedded in social feeds is so bullish
if you:

+ live online
+ are obssessed with crypto
+ want to be part of something special

come work with me at Uniswap 💕

we’re hiring for an nyc-based social media role

new podcast episode dropped with @ilemi from @sixsechszes-666.eth

if you’ve been meaning to go down the intents / account abstraction rabbit hole, this episode is for you 👀

we do nontechnical explainers for:

+ the modular stack
+ account abstraction
+ intents and offchain infra

so far, the primary monetization mechanism for luxury media has been patronage via collecting media onchain

collecting is cool, but think there’s actually a lot more to explore here

curation, co-creation, intimate communities, co-ownership are all part of the “luxury” experience too
who has written on / thought deeply about the relationship between intents and protocol moats?
genuine question

if twitter was democratically owned and governed, would it *actually* be a better platform?

for all the rhetoric around user ownership in web3, very few people have thought critically about how this works in practice
Interesting how no ads on farcaster changes how you consume content

Much more willing to read casts when I don’t need to discern whether something is an ad
