I downloaded Cursor at 7:49 this morning. I built a /farcade game that is working basically like I want it to. I looked at the clock and it was 8:49

I've been getting quite a few 503 responses and I can't find any mention in the docs or other reports here on farcaster. Is it caused by rate limiting? I assume I should just retry when this happens. example request: GET api.neynar.com/v2/farcaster/feed?feed_type=filter&filter_type=channel_id&channel_id=degen

The cheapest way to consume eggs is taco bell breakfast. Their prices haven't changed significantly since the start of the bird flu outbreak
I’ve been using Deno to build a small app and the new KV feature is so nice. It’s a persistent key value store built in to the runtime and it “just works” on their Deno Deploy infra. It has some rough edges (including being behind an “unstable” flag) but it seems like the perfect solution at least for getting started quickly.
I’m sure it’s not intentional but this *feels* an awful lot like gaslighting

Can anyone tell me if I posted this in the right channel? This is a frames question so it seems like the right place. But no engagement yet. With all the talk of getting more people to build frames, getting help still seems hard.

I'm building a v2 frame and I'm trying to test it locally. It seems like frames.js is the right (only?) way to do that. Currently it does not like my fc:frame meta data. BUT it also does not like the `hackathontoken.com` frame either (for the same reason), so I must not be doing something right. Any advice?

I asked an LLM to summarize the recent posts in the /warpcast channel and one of the items was:
-Users are reporting issues with the app, such as clanking noises

I’m interested in building an agent to do analysis on farcaster data such as summarizing recent topics in a particular set of channels

Introducing Nash: The easiest way for crypto natives to create personal AI agents.
Everyone should have their own AI agents that work around the clock—even while they sleep. Nash makes that future accessible now, with an intuitive no-code platform designed for the blockchain world.

I can think of 5 examples in the last few weeks where I tried out a project in its early stages and provided valuable feedback to the team who then probably never saw it because of my spam label (or other algo ranking). It is possible that I’m a uniquely bad caster or that my situation is special in some other way. But I would say that the system is currently leaving money on the table and I hope that isn’t multiplied across many other users like me. I’m more than happy to try and help the community solve this but it feels a little opaque to me right now.
$anon is a public good in my opinion and this seems like an idea that could keep it viable. I’m very open to hearing the counter arguments.

Another day, another 3 /farcade tokens traded for extremely mid Nightmare Blocks scores. I’ll get there.
A saw this button at an antique mall and for a few seconds I really thought the word at the bottom was “Caster”. (But Easter makes most sense). Anyway someone show this to the /lp gang.

A very legitimate reason for something like $veil is to allow anonymous political donations. As long as the pool contains people on both sides of the aisle. Something we can all agree on!

Deno seems great, but fewer hosting services support it compared to node.js. I’m making a frame that needs a small backend service (deno + redis, let’s say). Where should I host it?

I miss the days when you’d see an image like this and know that someone worked hard on it (not just writing a prompt). This is a classic from 2015 https://x.com/mudron/status/622865413395755008

1) numbers 4 and 5 seem counterintuitive
2) this feels a bit like a circus but if I squint I guess I can be convinced that it’s exciting to be seeing this play out in real time (but I hate being the one stuck in spam purgatory)
3) at a fundamental level it is disheartening as a new person to try and engage genuinely with the big names only to be marked “spam”.
4) it seems like the “spam” label in many cases just means “doesn’t start conversations”. That’s an important factor for rewards but it didn’t seem like the opposite is “spam”

Since Spam labels are now public, I’ve spent some time looking at things these accounts have in common vs accounts that don’t get labeled and this is my initial advice for people who’ve been labeled.
1. STOP sharing frames. If you didn’t build it, don’t share it.
2. Stop recasting. Instead, quote cast and spell out why you are sharing it. What makes this worthy of being shared?
3. Ensure 80% of your timeline is original content. Don’t steal it from the web, make something unique and genuine. It better to not cast at all than to cast slop.
4. Only reply to people in channels. If someone casts to their home feed and doesn’t follow you, don’t comment.
5. Stop tagging people. They don’t get notified of the tags anyway. It’s pointless to tag them.

Hi everyone. I just did my *first ever* farcaster development thing. I wrote a tiny little node.js app using @neynar/nodejs-sdk to get my feet wet. A simple frame is next!
If some of you like my reply to @bracky then maybe they’ll be more likely to pick me? I need someone to vouch for me. 🤞🏻
