I want to be a bit more specific.

Crypto has multiple breakout applications: SoV, world computer, stablecoins, DeFi, prediction markets, etc.

But we have yet to find a consumer mobile application that has found internet scale adoption. I’m not 100% convinced we even get the next “Facebook” (app), maybe we get an internet scale consumer protocol though.

Zora seems the most interesting to me. It’s an economic engine for creating, distributing, collecting, and trading internet artifacts. Something millions of people already do without actual economic value (video games).

Zora the application may not be WhatsApp scale, because competing clients should help it scale… but Zora the protocol can.

cc @jacob
It cost $15 to swap on ethereum, about $0.01 on Base.

Wild how far we’ve come.
Zora is the closest to a breakout application we have in crypto. I mean that in a positive sense.

Feedback I’ve heard from normie friends: these pictures are weird I don’t think I’ll fit in here.
What does one need to do to age like George Clooney?
My teammates are awesome. My Eng counterparts are remote, and they do amazing things sometimes I wish they were next to me so I could high five them!
Hot take (maybe):

No currency or financial system will succeed at scale without a meaningful wealth redistribution mechanism.

Capital has increasing returns. In an opt-in monetary society, people will not choose to hold or purchase a currency that does not have some way to counteract this.
many such cases

Every crypto integration even with tradfi is a Trojan horse for the real thing. See you all on the other side.
Hey @gpat882019 wasn't able to DM you as it looks like you don't follow me. But, it looks like you are the current mod on /pakistan I was wondering if you'd be open to giving me moderator/owner rights on this? Would love to start a Pakistan community here.
Thinking about starting a Pakistan(i?) channel.

Any interest?
I remember watching a video on the Open Source Hardware movement and can never find the same video again. :/
Soon we will be able to in a verified way bring in your existing network to Icebreaker. No manual import, just a simple UX flow to tear down the fences of walled gardens. ❄️❄️❄️
Everyone wants to be Warpcast, no one wants to be Farcaster.
Has anyone else mentioned that Network States are better marketing over Curtis Yarvins: “Patchwork”?
This was the pain point Farcaster solved for me.

I literally would tell everyone I talked to “I’m looking for the people in crypto actually making things, not talking prices or coins”
Humans are very adaptable creatures, even subconsciously.

We used to have 250 SMS limits in the early 2000s on our phone, and now we send endless messages all day long without ever considering that this wasn't the norm only 20 years ago.
Glad they let @blockheim take the design pen from @dwr.eth
The legendary @jihad is up to big things! I’m a fan of using writing as a way to think and communicate clearly, glad he’s helping others do this :)

Maybe everyone already knows this and I’m dumb.

But USDC purchases are free on Coinbase, transferring to Base with USDC also free, buying crypto on Dex’s has much lower fees than on a CEX with near immediate “settlement”.

Why would I ever buy crypto on Coinbase ever again? Is there a misalignment here?
