I remember growing up hearing about these e-waste dump sites, and it’s disheartening to see it still an issue now. I hope we can make impactful progress to clean up these messes we’ve left other humans to live in.

Took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Utsunomiya for the day which was a nice break from the extreme urbanscape of Tokyo. Walked through Oya quarry and bought a little succulent planter made from (allegedly) the mined stone. Grabbed some gyoza where every shop had lines wrapped around the block.
When I graduated high school, I was kicked out. I got a part time, minimum wage job to fund rent and tuition. I often went without eating. Planned Parenthood allowed me to get the healthcare I needed, from annual checks, Pap smears, birth control, STI testing, antibiotics, and more. I never had an abortion. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/06/vance-defund-planned-parenthood/
Ofc tech incels believe enslaving women to be incubators is civilizational progress

My first meal in Japan had to be sushi, of course.

Under his eye, blessed be the fruit.

You have a woman in your life, whether it’s yourself, your wife, daughter, mother, sister, friend. I urge you to look deeply into the quick and severe consequences of Roe and the future the US parties want for women, and put these human lives above a bipartisan stance.
Currently on my very first visit to /japan and following @beecurious gave me great foundational knowledge, from history to hot spots to visit to how to read the bidets!

✨manifesting this into my kitchen✨
92F and 78% humidity in September just ain’t right. (But we all know actual fall starts in October-November)
Appetizers for dinner 😋 My second go at pork & Napa cabbage gyoza. I made the wrappers from scratch this time and my arm was sore the next day from all the rolling. Used garlic and garlic chives from my garden for the filling, want to add in scallions and garleek next time. Shishitos from the garden, too! 🪴
My first chicken katsu curry came out nicely! Curry was made from cubes- will try from scratch next time.
It’s jalapeño pepper time 🌶️
My first fermented garlic honey, with Thai chilies 🌶️

Loving my huge garlic cloves! Not even elephant garlic.
Minted my mutant flower ☺️
Picked this WIP scarf up after over a year. (Was busy knitting baby things for my niece!) I’m almost done with it, but had a falling out with the person it was intended for and they are no longer knit-worthy. 🥲
People tend to assume I am a man online, and now I may be a bot. 😆 I try to make it clear that I am a panda 🐼
Flipping through “fermented vegetables” and came across this bit of info on ground cherries:
