I’m now leading growth at @ensdomains! If you’re going to be at ETHDenver and working on digital identity, L2 interop, based rollups, want to issue subnames, or want to integrate ENS into your app, let’s talk!

Thinking about nick Paumgarten’s article about Ethereum in the New Yorker (2018) and how he rightly identified that even the most decentralized systems are not without their hierarchy’s based on reputation and the narcissism of small differences
livwutang always brings an eclectic mix whenever I’ve seen her dj in NYC but this RA mix leads with dub, which in many ways is the predecessor to all dance music. Enjoy

if you're curious about Namechain development, here's an update for you.
We are deeply researching with the EF, @linea, Status, Spire Labs, Open Zeppelin and others on how to make Namechain a based rollup, and eventually a native rollup.
As a brief primer, traditional rollups use their own dedicated sequencer, whereas based rollups leverage Ethereum itself as the sequencer. Native rollups are a future vision where Namechain would derive its security and transaction ordering directly from Layer 1 execution.

Anyone else in the US feeling the disconnect between what’s going down in our world compared to what our friends and family are dealing with today? Getting a lot of urgent emails from friends in the sciences worried about the federal funding freeze
Wemby looks like a trebuchet when he’s shooting threes from way behind the arch and hitting it. Such a complete game from him in Paris tonight
Really appreciating the open dialogue in /ethereum right now. Would love to some takes on this smart question

In the EF's mission of making the Internet better, how should it approach the necessary integration work so that Ethereum becomes part of the broader Internet?
Things like ENS↔DNS integration, IPFS support in browsers, JavaScript support for p2p gossip, .eth as a TLD, advocacy within Internet standards bodies (IANA, W3C).
For example we don't have a seat at the table of the W3C Web Payments group, and as a result they're not considering any crypto payment options for standardization in browsers.
As another recent example, the recently-spec'd Passkeys credential exchange protocol doesn't feature permissionless export, something which would have been an obvious requirement had there been more crypto-type thinkers in the room.
Do you think the EF has a role to play here?

There was an interesting survey from the Nakamoto Project of 3.5k US bitcoin holders. essentially found that they are mostly moderate, with a slightly larger distribution in the far left and right

It feels like Farcaster is starting to lean left in ways I personally don't really love.

If you wanna hear about how scenecoins fit into the aspirational economy and how art is valued instead of hearing people relitigate crypto the game S2, come to room 3 😈
Feels good to finally share what we've been working on.

Super excited to do a lil talk on the aspirational economy and scenecoins like $higher during @farcon! I have a fun workshop planned too.

question for the words folks.
I see a lot of people using "terminally" as a prefix to being online, and I think the emphasis is about being endlessly online. I would use, "interminably online" because "terminally" refers to something with no cure, and eventual death.
Am I overthinking this?

What do you think about PayPal green energy mining proposal?
"On-chain transactions are preferentially routed to green miners by being broadcasted with low transaction fees, but with some BTC reward “locked” in a multisig payout address."

I thought this was a brave take given the egos of many of the founders in the crypto space.
If I were to amend the risk slightly, I would say that where Farcaster's growth is at risk in this early stage is not setting up the protocol for global success.

1. For many people around the world, $degen is actually a life changing amount of money. You'll do anything to get tips.
2. Everyone is mostly forced to use English

it's pretty clear that a lot of founders here on Farcaster -- and crypto broadly -- employ the "naked marketing" technique of building in the open and using themselves as a personal brand.

Camel milk is high in vitamin C when fresh, and also low in fat. They also produce less methane and can go for days without eating and drinking.
